Hi all. It's that time again for all of us. Good luck everyone. I'm sending our pack off on 12th June.

Can anyone tell me for utility bills do you add just the front page with the bill amount and names/address or do you think they will want to see the whole bill with all the electric readings etc. My packs getting so big don't want to send unnecessary paperwork.

Is anyone on here in the same situation as us..... where they have been married but had to spend time apart while their green card was approved. My husband and I were married Oct 2014 but then he left for a job in the USA and I had to hang back in the UK until I had the green card (Sep 2015). We are a little worried because we only have shared bank statements, money transfers and PayPal transactions from that time apart. We have lived together in the USA since Sep 2015 and have evidence of that.

Thanks all

My date is June 12 also :)

About utility bills. I asked for "payment/billing" history. It just two pages, for entire time we live in that house - almost 2 years. And it has our names, account number, and then - one by one dates of bills with amounts we paid. So, try to contact your utility company if they could provide something like that for you. If they can not, I would just have the front page - I'm going to do that with AT&T bills. Itemized bill has, usually, 5-7 pages, but the main info I believe - names, bank account, phone numbers and amount - on the front one.

About your being apart... really can't tell you anything. Sorry..

Sounds like a perfectly normal reason to have been apart. Just include an explanation in your cover letter and it should be fine. I didn't have utility bills, but for our phone plan I just added the 1 page out of each statement (quarterly) that showed our name and lines.

If you guys dont want RFE then again IRS transcript is more valid documents since it comes from the IRS itself, documents can be falsified but if the document comes from the valid institution then its legit. Better to be assured than sorry. This is what also i read from this blog that people got an RFE because of non submissions of IRS transcript.

"Just my two cents though"

I do not want an RFe . :( guess im

otdering transcripts

I send color photocopies of my pictures. I would also suggest getting IRS transcripts. It's the preferred method,  it's official, it's fast  (you can download them online if you have a cell phone out something,  I forget), and it's a lot less paper.

Agreed.  From the research I have done transcripts are better, more official and fast.

As for pictures, I have read they don't account for much....like affidavits.  They aren't hard evidence that you are a factual couple.  I'm sending a few pictures and no affidavits.

Cookie Cat's thread has been instrumental to me too but the thread is excessively long

As for pictures, I have created "Photo collages" of different trips and get togethers with family and friends...printed and labelled them..keeping down the weight..7-8 pics per collage..it does show that we are a factual couple. I sent a tonne of Material for our IOS and avoided any RFEs, or Interviews..our ISO didn't take long

Im sending pictures because we had two beautiful weddings : one civil , one destination with tons of family and friends and of all our vacations and our everyday life like at the park with our baby and BBQ' s and functions we have attended as a family like baby showers

and birthdays and even a funeral. I'm including the note from my friend after her dad passed thanking us both for coming up which was about a two hour drive each way. So I feel like besides all the other proof this tells

our story and gives the agent a better sense of who we are a couple and family.
