It depends on which path you wish to take, it sounds like a no for air force but yes for armed forces from what I read here:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/595996-can-36-join-us-army/

Your local recruitment center will definitely be able to help you and tell what you can and cannot do at present. Good luck!

Thank you!

:) Checked my mail box, being home at lunch .. Yep!!!! I've got my NOA1,!!

P.S. I love this service - MyUSPS. Works really great, so yeas, it's worth to sign up for that!

Oh wow! That's so cool! I didn't know that such a service exists! I just signed up when I read your post!

I have question though: Do you view your mail through "informed delivery"? Or under what section?

Thanks for sharing!

Is anyone else having issues checking their status online through the USCIS website. I'm using the receipt number from the NOA-1. I keeps saying my receipt number is not valid?

I believe you can't use that receipt #. You have to use the one you get on your biometrics letter. I haven't gotten mine yet, so perhaps someone who's received their biometrics letter can chime in.

That's correct. You have to wait until your biometrics letter to get the correct number to track it.

ROC Timeline:

May 31: Package mailed

June 8: NOA1 received, dated June 2

June 27: Biometrics done

Sept 25: Case Status Update Card in Production

Like stated above, you will need the WAC number on your biometrics letter to use with myUSCIS website.

However, if you have to file an online SR via the website, the receipt number on your NOA1 is the one you will need. The one on the biometrics will not work.

You are welcome ;)

It should be under MyUSPS/Mail dashboards. And you will receive an email, or text msg - depends on your sign up settings, - if something is scheduled for delivery. I get an email about 7.00-7.30 a.m. But MyUSPS shows this info earlier.

You will see ALL mails, coming to your address .

Here is an amazing tread about this. There is a guy there, who works or used to work for USPS - don't remember for sure :) . He explains so well how it works and what to do if you are having problems to sign up or set it up.

Absolutely agree. And it really doesn't take that long to get transcripts for past 3 years. On-line they are available immediately after you signed up - you just have to provide more info to have your transcripts on-line,

And it takes about 7-10 days to get them via regular mail. Mine arrived on day 6.

Now I'm worried Ksusha! I sent just our return's from Turbo tax and the copies of W2's... Let's hope I won't get RFE. There is tons of other evidence...vehicles, insurances, lease...Fingers crossed!

Don't worry about this :) As I've said before - we submitted Tax Returns along with W2's for both, K1 process and my AOS.  AOS took 15 months, and of course, we received RFE for the most recent Tax Return. Even more - RFE letter requested specifically Tax Return, not Transcripts. So, I'm pretty sure, either way works good. I believe as long as you've sent Tax Returns along with W2's/1099's - you should be fine.

The main reason I've requested Tax Transcripts  was to make my ROC package as "simple" as possible. For example, instead of sending ALL  utility bills for 3 years I just requested Summary Billing Utility Inquiry,  which took only 2 pages.

The same thing with Tax Transcripts - they took 6 pages, for  tax years 2014-2016  It was just easier by all means.

Of course, you still can request the Transcripts from IRS, just in case - they are available for last 3 years. And you may want to send with your citizenship application.. ? :)

Also, ROC currently takes up to year, somebody has mentioned 14-24 months... That's crazy, right?  So.. I wouldn't be surprised if I get an RFE for updated info... the latest Tax Return/Transcripts, banks statements or anything else..

No worries ;) Very often RFE means that somebody ALIVE FINALLY got to your case and just updated info needed.. You'll be fine - just keep collecting the evidence ;)

Thank you explaining :D You are correct. Based on everything I've read so far, this whole ROC process will take a while. Hey by the time I'll get approved, it will be the time to apply for citizenship  Oh well~ As well as everything goes well...

Another big concern I have is traveling back home right now. A lot of people told me to stay put right now due to the recent travel ban and etc...Well at least till I get my ROC approved, but that might take more than a year... I really want to go home. I haven's been in ages..

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :D
