Hey guys, got my NOA yesterday and just wondering if the one year extension starts yesterday or my green card anniversary date? Also, has anyone travelled internationally with the NOA document on hand without having any problems going back to the states?

Thanks guys and best of luck to us all!!!!

The 1 year extension starts on the expiration date of you GC (the date is on the card). For example, my GC will expire on August 1st, so my NOA-1 is good until August 1, 2018. Well, maybe July 31st, 2018 ;)

Got my biometric appt. notice today. Scheduled for July 3rd....now could you reschedule it? It is day before holiday,  it might be difficult to get day off at work when the half of the crew has already approved time off

Well that was fast.  You have a few days to get something coordinated.   I don't know the answer about you being able to rebook so I am hoping others chime in.  It was my understanding that they gave you at least a couple weeks notice.

From a July 2016 filer here, know that this process is now taking between 14 and 24 months... so don't think about it until end of 2018 :(

They are taking forever.

Good to know!  Never thought of looking over June or July 2016 filers.  Thanks for sharing the wisdom :)

I believe had read somewhere that you can ask them to add an extension again.

When the NOA is getting close to expiring, you schedule an InfoPass appointment (https://my.uscis.gov/appointment) for your local USCIS field office. Then go on the scheduled date and time and get a I-551 stamp on your passport that will extend your status for another 12 months.

Oh ok cool!! So u can continue work and fly out the country right? Same rights
