I am in the last stretch of gathering evidence and I am hoping to be able to send my package tomorrow (fingers crossed). In the bank statements, do you guys include the pages with only disclosures or any blank pages?

I included all pages and highlighted some transactions that are consistent in each monthly statement. Like our rent, insurance, and utility payments, and salaries.

@andruida Yep I included every page of bank statements and other important documents like my leases. I also highlighted our joint names and any relevant info. For our USA bank statements I highlighted important regular payments like rent and utilities. On my UK bank statements I highlighted anywhere there was a money transfer in one of our names. Some of the pages were silly like blank pages or adverts but I still sent them to be safe, any missing pages they see it as if you have something to hide.

I mailed mine on Tuesday, June 13th to VSC. It was delivered at noon on Thursday, June 15th.

You can check the spreadsheet to see all the dates for the June filers. Note, there are 2 tabs: one for CSC and one for VSC.

Hello! Here is the link to request the transcripts. It is free and you have more than enough time to receive them in the mail. It arrives from 5 to 10 business days so request as soon as possible.

https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

Is it ok if I just print them from the IRS site?

Yes, i printed and sent them out from the IRS site - the font is a bit smaller than if they mail you (i also requested a mailed version), so it's fewer pages per transcript. The online version doesn't give you a introductory page though, whereas the mailed version has a front page from the IRS to you acknowledging your request for the transcript.

Exactly that was my thoughts. Some people think its going overboard but I think why not. I rang USCIS once they told me send everything you can. For our two credit cards I just gave them about four statements for the year because those are not in joint names I'm just a card holder. I sent all the statements for our joint checking accounts, savings etc

Best of luck

I don't understand this thing with the statements. 😕 What did u print exactly? That shows what? The transactions?

And also, do I need to give them the whole lease agreement or just the first page that states our names and the address?

Also, funny part, I just found out today that all this time we pay for life insurance and we haven't even put each other as beneficiary 🤦‍♀️

Yes, for the bank statements they want to see the transactions, so send every page of your statements. See below for the I-751 instructions...

'Financial records showing joint ownership of assets and joint responsibility for liabilities, such as joint savings and checking accounts with transaction history'

Also, for bank statements if you have any pages that are blank then send them. My statements would say pages 1-6 but a couple of those pages would be blank or would be just information, but I still sent them. If you have missing pages they will suspect you are hiding something.

I sent my whole rental lease. My lease had signatures on every page and at the end. I know they like to see them signed by both people.

If any documents you send state for example page 1 of 5 include all 5 pages because if you leave any pages out it looks like you have something to hide from them.

I would add beneficiary details onto your life insurance now so that if you get an RFE you can send them evidence of this too.

Hope this makes sense and helps :)

YES! Some people just printed since it's faster and no waiting time. I requested the mailed version since I had enough time.

Joint bank accounts, joint credit cards and any other joining of financial interests are primary and strong evidence. From what I read here and I actually agree on this, the theory is that if a person is willing to risk properties and money, then the marriage is more likely valid. In the bank statements, I included 1 statement per quarter, and highlighted some transactions in it like our rent payments, utility bills, insurance, etc.

I have such a headache, I try since early in the morning to find out how to do the paperwork. K1 was way easier than this mess.

So.. to confirm , I need to print the bank statements from the day my husband added me to the account correct? To show the transactions we had together. He added me to the accounts though months after the wedding, I wasn't working for about a year, he was paying for everything.
