492 days waiting.

EAC17257

I can do outside normal time inquiry in 6 days, as my case is June 13, 2017

Didn’t file N-400 and also haven’t gotten a RFE.

Last update was: August 28, transferred to MO National Center.

Been married 4 years got tons of evidence, plus the AOS interview was literally 10 minutes he didn’t even interview us.

As soon as he saw that I’m from Sweden and how high paid my job was he approved me right there on the spot. He didn’t even ask us any questions about our marriage.

He seemed more interested in my career and why a Swedish person would want to move to NYC lol when we got all benefits covered back home in Sweden.

He actually confessed at the interview that if I was Mexican or from Middle East then the interview would be much much stricter but because I’m from Sweden and he’s only had a dozen Swedes in all his time there he just approved it.

Can anyone who’s good with the tracker try to run: EAC17257 and help give me accurate % on cases approved and how many are left?

I’d appreciate that a lot, thanks.

Ok, here is some "fresh" updates from info pass NY...

Normal processing time for VT is 17 months, but since the case was transferred to the local office this stage has passed.... so now,  whenever your look at the processing time you should select "field offices" (it is like 20-40 months or so!!!) Therefore,  outside of processing time is not an option 😞
Also, the officer said "new administration - new rules", everyone gets an interview. I told her that I know people who was approved without any interviews recently, she repeated that they got an order to schedule for interview everyone.
About MO transfer:

It was transferred bc they do not keep cases in the local offices. The transfer to MO it is like a storage until the interview is scheduled.

She also answered that there is no actual time limit to schedule an interview... could be around a year she said...
No passport stamp for me either, since my second extension is due Feb 2019.

Have a pleasant time waiting everyone

LOL. You should have asked her how long she is on the job and if she had her morning coffee yet. I guess she doesn't realize some thing and only said things to make your infopass unpleasant. When I had my infopass for AOS, the guy was from Naturalization and was such a sweetheart but some things he said ended up being not true.

new administration - new rules", everyone gets an interview --- yeah ok.

Sorry, but I wouldn't believe any of this and would go back in a month.

You got an official case update that it was transferred to MO?

Some officers are like that. I bet if you called USCIS and asked to speak to an officer, they would tell you something else. Not everyone is correctly informed how the process works. I understand that for AOS you get interviewed and there are some cases where that interview is waived, but this is something else.

They all come from different divisions within the dept so I wouldnt really worry about that infopass.

i dont think it is fair to simply call it "lies".  uscis might indeed have the policy/guideline to interview all i-751 filers, it takes time to implement such policy/guideline in service centers and all field offices

Maybe in the future but clearly it’s not currrent which seems to be what the officer implied based on what was written above.

Hi all,

I'm sharing my timeline here for anyone who is interested. I had my interview yesterday and our case is approved. I checked my case status online and it says my card is being produced.

05/05/2018: Received a mail from USCIS indicating that they are able to reuse previous fingerprints and other biometrics.

07/23/2018: Got the temporary I-551 stamp on my passport at the San Fernando Valley field office. The officer confiscated the plastic green card as a matter of policy. The stamp is valid until July 22, 2019.

8/11/2018: Received 18 month extension letter supposedly valid until March 8, 2019.

9/11/2018: Received I-751 interview schedule notification in the mail.

10/22/2018: Interview at the San Fernando Valley office. The experience was great and we couldn't ask for a better Immigration Officer. Officer Tarloyan is nice, professional, and she made us feel at ease. She escorted us to her office and once we settled in, she took my photo and fingerprints, and made us raise our right hands and swear to tell only the truth, which we did. She then asked for our driver's license and old and new passports. She then explained that when she reviewed our case, she did not find any red flags. Basically, they are conducting I-751 interviews to applicants who arrived the US with K-1 fiancee visa as part of the changes implemented by Trump administration. Her questions were:

Where and when did you meet?
Who attended your wedding?
Was there a proposal?
How did my spouse become a US citizen?
What does he do for a living?
Do you go on holidays together?

She also asked if I brought additional evidence which I did. She said that what I had submitted in my original application are sufficient but she will take the new documents. She browsed through it and asked questions on the out of the country holiday trip we took early this year.

After the interview, she said everything looks great. She will approve our case and then told me to wait for about 8 months to hear about my N400 which I filed in June 2018.

I checked my case status online and it says my card is being produced.

This is interesting that they are now doing interviews for K-1 visas.. Regardless, you did it and congrats on your card!!! 🙂 Go celebrate!!
