Hello friends,

We had submitted our ROC I-751 on June 15 and received NOA1 on July 5. We are still waiting for our biometrics to come in. We called on Sep 10th the 800 number to find out any details. The representative informed us that Biomatrics can take up to 120 days to arrive, if true, we should be getting the appointment set up by end of October. We wanted to travel to see our family but are concerned that biometrics will come in while we are abroad. So we have been postponing our trip.

From what i have seen it appears the normal time frame is about 30 days from submission of I751 to receive the biometrics. We are a little concerned, as we do not see any updates to our case since submission.

Does any one else experience delays for biometrics that has applied around Jun 2018 time frame?

Best Regards.

Our NOA was Oct 2017 and didn't get biometric appointment till May 2018.  The I751 process is taking longer than one year no, so biometric might got slow down too.  Another reason could be if you have taken biometric recently, they can use your old one.

Case number: WAC18013xxxxx

10/07/17 --- I751 sent

10/13/17 --- NOA with 12 months extension

02/26/18 --- Case received at local office

05/14/18 --- Biometric Letter Received

05/25/18 --- Biometric done

08/23/18 --- 18 months extension letter received (original with watermark)

01/08/19 ---  Case approved

01/11/19 ---  Card mailed out

01/12/19 ---  Approval notice received in mail

01/14/19 ---  GC received in mail

(no interview, no ref, no transfer, no N400)

We submitted out I751around the same time. We never received a biometrics appointment notice but have our green card. We even did about 2 or 3 service requests. I think they're skipping steps where they can to catch up.

They removed the condition from your green card and you never needed to go to biometrics. That is great to hear congratulation!

Hey everyone,

After looking through this forum (as I so often do), I decided to check our case status.. and it was approved!  According to Case Tracker, it shows an approval date of 9/12/18, but upon logging into USCIS the card was actually being produced as of 9/11/18.   You all have been a great support during this process.. now on to checking the mailbox daily :)

For those wondering, our case number is WAC17255*

Cheers,

R&C

Filled June 13 2017 got the biometrics appointment for July 14th but I went in earlier on July 3rd to do my biometrics and it was fine.

Oh so they allow you to just show up for biometricks without the appointment that  you get in the mail?

What documents did they ask you to have for biometrics?

It depends on the local office. Some of the offices allow an early walk-in biometrics and some don't. If you live close to your local office, give it a try. However, if you live far I wouldn't risk it, you don't want to drive for a few hours just to hear that you will have to come back once you receive the letter.

Thanks! Yes we tried over and over to get a biometrics appointment or some kind of letter saying we didn't need to go in for biometrics. No updates or anything and suddenly I got a text one day saying the card was being produced. It is a little disconcerting not to hear anything. But hang in there; it seems like a number of us didn't get regular updates and the case still moved on.

Hello my June 2017 friends,

Today I received mail from USCIS.  It was a relatively thick letter.  Once opened I realized what it was.....it contained:

a) was my new extension letter (that is redundant now as I got the stamp in July) but....addressed in my name, city and zip code.  NO STREET ADDRESS/PO BOX

b) the original mailing envelope which obviously  arrived somewhere and looks like USPS attached a computer print out sticker (coded) and labelled Return to Sender **Insufficent Address.  USCIS opened it rather neatly, unfolded it and attached it to my new 2 page I797 NOA form

c) USCIS letter re: change of address letter and

d) Change of address form  AR-11

Clearly whoever received the return to sender mail did not catch the misprint on the mailing address (which left out the street address and PO Box) and sent me the change of address form.  I DID NOT MOVE.

I am unsure what to do.

All prior correspondence from USCIS has arrived safely to our PO Box.  I have never been questioned on using a PO BOX before. We have listed our physical address on all applications but indicated preference as PO BOX.

My questions:

1.  Do I send USCIS the form back completing it with the same info?  ***note: the form states No PO Boxes

2.  Do I ignore it this form?

3.  Do I call them to inquire about what to do?
