I’ven been on the phone pretty much all morning speaking with several uscis reps. The first time I got connected to a tier 2. he was very rude and hung up on me saying he couldn’t confirm or deny any info and that my receipt number was not even on file so I needed to write a letter to csc. And all I was just asking where did my original official  extensión letter went to. 

  

Now I’m waiting for a 2nd round (a tier 2 is supposed to call me back from their generated waiting on queue). 

 

 

Follow up... to the courtesy copy....

 

 

i received the call from tier 2, around 12pm and this guy was very nice. he explained that uscis is experiencing  backlogs (we already know that,lol) and that the system is “creating” automatic 18- month letters some are courtesy  copies some are original. If I didn’t have an attorney then form G-28 doesn’t apply to me and since I received a copy that copy must be attached to my original 12month Ext letter. But if I have an attorney then the original was sent to attorney. he said that is very unlikely the official letter went to my former attorney. 

 Supposedly if we received an original 12month letter then the second letter is a copy. Form what I’ve read here there some fellows who received both originals12month and 18month. 

 

I just hope all this calls I made didn’t messed up my case in their system since they kept asking for all my info (name,ss# and receipt #). 

 

 

In conclusion I guess we got “lucky” and got a copy 😑

 

all i have to say now is that everything is in God’s hand 🙏 and everything will be alright.

At least the second rep was able to give you a somewhat reasonable explanation about the courtesy copy and the original extension. it is kinda funny though how their system is randomly creating these forms- makes no sense, but unfortunately nothing we can do about it, other than wait patiently.

It’s crazy how disorganized this process has been... the “transfered to  local office” messages earlier this year.. the 18 month extension letter.. some receiving original letter others receiving curtosey copy.. some people getting their GC taken away while getting the stamp others have not.. so much more.. well at least we will get approved sooner or later and whether we have the stamp or extension letter can travel and “prove” legal status.

A couple minutes ago I received a text message that my case has been updated, and there it is "New Card is Being Produced" status on the USCIS website! i am so happy, i just can't believe it!

DHS website still showing no updates though!

I checked the case tracker app and today they approved three different cases for WAC17244 .  This means they are working on June 1, 2017 CSC cases.  Super exciting as this is my filing date.  Hopefully they work on my case soon.

oh and I received my 18 months extension letter last week, and I thought it means an even longer wait.  So I was so surprised when I saw the update today!!!

I ran the first 150 cases starting with WAC17255***** there are about 10% are shown to be approved in the last couple days.

My daughters i751 filed June 14 2017 was approved, notification via email and text message on 8/28 @ CSC. 2 weeks ago we received an 18 month extension letter even though we got the 551 extension at the field office back in July. We’re just waiting on the card now.

I ran 145 cases from WAC172270060* and stats are 36 approved / 11 REF/ 97 Pending.

Hi all, WAC1725 here. I received the extension "notification" letter last week, today I received an approval letter! My case status was not updated, nor did I receive any type of email / text. I'll update my timeline when the actual card arrives!
