No transfer notices.  I can give a rough timeline (I don't keep as good of track of things as a lot of members here)

 

06/??/17 - i751 sent

06/12/17 - NOA

02/26/18 - Case received at local office

(4-6)/??/18 - Biometircs letter received

(4-6)/??/18 - Biometrics done

08/23/18 - Website update to card is being produced

Congratulations! Wonder why your biometrics was so late. I am a July 2017 filer and they took my biometrics in Aug 17. It worked out great for you though

WAC17243 (May 30th) here! Finally got my 18-month extension letter. Things are definitely picking up!

WAC1725 (June 15, 2017 filer)... Finally received our 18-month extension letter! Yay!! BUT!!!! I noticed that it wasn’t the official or original notice, it looks like a copy, no background like the 1st one... And it says that the official notice was mailed to whoever is on my form G28... which by the way, we never filled out that form and we never had a representative or lawyer!! So, where the heck did they send my original then??? 😟 All i have is just a copy and i probably can’t use this?? 😔

I was wondering about the same thing! 

I haven’t filed no G28 either so I’m curious what does that part even mean?

Yesterday was weird. In the mail, we got the 18month extension letter, the receipt of our removal of conditions request, and the 10 year greencard! I'd say they are a bit mixed up at the old California Service Center!

By the way,

 

There are no updates shown on either USCIS website or the app. We never received the extension letter or for that matter the letter that our submission was being processed (till now).

 

We file May 22nd of 2017. It went to the California Service Center. Online, they said the case was transfered to the local office. It was not. We went to get the I-551 stamp a couple of months ago. When we got the stamp,

the officer was nice, but she told us, 'expect a 24 month delay'. Not the case. My conclusion? USCIS is a mess right now thanks to the ####### in office. Expect the unexpected.

Do you mind sharing what you mean by the “actual letter, not a courtesy notification”? 

Did you get an 18 month extension letter than looks similar to the 12 month one (meaning green background, thick paper)? 

All I got was 2 pieces of thin paper that say “this is a courtesy copy, not the official notice”

Yes, meaning that the letter I got looks like the 12 month one and does not say "this is a courtesy copy"

I also got my 18-month extension letter 2 days ago in the mail! I already have my 12 months stamp in my passport.

We also received an 18 month courtesy notice (Form I-797C) that does not look like the original letter sent out for the 12 month extension.  We do not understand why because (like Javi76 above) we did not use anyone to represent us.  My guess is that this notification was sent out in error and that we will receive the official letter soon.  Am I optimistic of what??  hahaha!  WAC 1727xxxxx. 

BTW, We are June 2017 filers but have been very quiet lately.  Congratulations to all who have already received their green card.

My “courtesy notice” is dated 8/6/18, I got it in the mail around the 15th. I’m wondering what happened to the official letter and would the DMV accept the “courtesy notice”  to renew my DL?
