Rule of the thumb for ROC, the more evidence you can send the better to avoid RFE that slow down the process of your application. Check CookieCat list of evidence, that is one good example of evidences, no RFE no interview invitation, her online status just changed to card production. USCIS wants to see all the evidences that you can provide for the duration of your marriage since day one to present.

CookieCat Rock thread is really great!!! I made my Cover letter, following Cookie's example - I wasn't really impressed with VJ sample, but Cookie's  - great job!

@Ksenia_O I agree, if this blog dont exist i guess most of us will definitely hire a lawyer for ROC, but good thing this blog existed and really helped a lot specially in saving money to pay the lawyers fee. :)

Absolutely! I'll be lost in the woods without VJ. Plus what a relief it is to talk to people undergoing the same journey as me. I don't know a single person here who went thru the process. My friends here will not understand the stress this brings LOL

That's true... It doesn't matter how hard you try to explain this process to other people... not being "INTO" - makes this impossible to understand..

Yeah.. We hired an attorney for K1. Despite the fact she did really great job,  now, looking back we recognize  - such a waste of money it was!!! I wish we knew about VJ that time :)

The point of sending the w2, 1099 etc with a copy of the return, aka 1040, is so USCIS can verify that the income numbers you put on your return forms are legit and not made up. Otherwise anyone can put whatever.

With an IRS transcript, the IRS ptovides that extra verification step, because it's a summary of all the numbers, w2s, etc. you submitted. So it's essentially a shortcut for USCIS to know that you did in fact file the return and the numbers are indeed correct as submitted; hence you don't need the backup documentation.

Think of it like a check. I can send you a picture of a thousand dollar check I wrote, but it doesn't proof anything. I can write checks all day long and never send them to the person or cash them. But,  if I sent you a picture of my bank statement and the bank image of the check, then you know it's been cashed and processed.

Don't panic ;) I still believe either way works... At least it worked well for us during AOS (we left not applicable areas blank) - for my son, and me.. and I'm sure a lot of ROC filers have done this as well..

Anyway - if i didn't stuck, waiting for my bank statement, my ROC package would have been sent yesterday.. as i planned. And it would've been with 'blank" ..

All the  best to all of us!! ;)

Don't panic.  All the examples show those parts left blank.  I was just looking at several samples from various websites and I'm leaving them blank too.

Thank you guys! I do feel better now, we will see in a year or so ... XD

Good luck to everyone! Fingers crossed xx

MeikaLioness,

I wouldn't stress at all.  Based on the dates you gave, you should be receiving that letter tomorrow or the next day.  Again, I wouldn't stress.

The one from the AOS period. Hmmm I think that is really unnecessary. I just saw that in one of the sample lists here and photocopied mine so I included it but I think the green card should be enough

Congrats!!!!! :)

Well, I'm tending to give up my "wait for the last bank statement..." .. The more waiting - the more reading - the more questions - the more I get paranoid... I guess it's a "sign" to send my ROC package like it is :)
