It just confuses/frustrates me how we all have a receipt number assigned but they are not processing it in the order they are received.

They have geo-dispersed teams and as such an agent who works on a case does not work on cases in order. Think of it as distributed systems in computing.

428 days now.
We filled June 13 2017.

How come people that applied later than me to same Vermont office got approved earlier?
Is anyone else waiting that's similar to my timeframe?

My lawyer told me that extension letter arrived to her office yesterday but no green card yet.

As with everyone else, we received the 18 month extension this past weekend.  A few weeks ago, we got the extension stamp valid for 12 months and during that appointment they kept the expired green card.  This extension letter I will keep as a souvenir as it does us no good.  I saw that WAC 17230 were just approved and got their cards sent to them.  I am at 17244 so I am around the corner.  Fingers crossed.  If it takes longer, its all good as I am covered for another 12 months.

I also received the 18 month extension the past week and I'm at 17244 same as you. Looks like we are in the same boat. Finger crossed 🤞🤞

has anybody tried to go to the DMV with the 18-month extension letter to renew the DL?

the reason why i'm asking is because when i took the 12-month extension letter to the DMV, they had to scan it to their main office and get approval and i had to go back next day after the main office confirmed that it is a valid document and gave the local office permission to renew my DL. also im wondering if the DMV will question why the 18-month letter looks completely different from the 12 month (i assume i should bring both in)

any thought would be appreciated.

I just had a huge ordeal at the dmv. My passport is in my maiden name and even though I had all my uscis documents they didn't wanna give me a licence bc the names didn't match. After 2 hours and 5 phone calls I have my dl. I hope it goes smoother for u

In this case, you should bring your marriage certificate with you. I had the same issue, came back the next day with the certificate and everything went just fine. DMV needs a proof that all documents belong to the same person.

Thank you! I’m calling them up right now. They may have my mailing address wrong as I moved a while ago.

I did have it with me and gave it to them. It was just super annoying. One person told them to have me change everything back to my maiden name bc all documents had to match. One person said  to just issue the dl in my maiden name bc that what was in the passport. Last person said to issue what's in my uscis documents which I what I assumed they should have done to begin with. Trust me. No one here knows what they are doing. But it's done now. Lol

Finally received my GC today thanks to my brother-in-law who was so kind to go to my old residence in a different state, pick up my card from the current residents and send it to me. I assume my approval letter was sent to them to, but it's whatever. The process is finally over.

Good luck to all of you guys who are still waiting! You will get some good news very soon :)

Congratulations.....

Has anyone here been called for an I-751 interview, specifically in Chicago? We just got a letter requesting my husband go for an interview and I come with in three weeks. I was really shocked to see it because I was under the assumption that it would get approved randomly and interviews were only for people with red flags .. but I was very thorough with paperwork and showing legitimacy of our relationship so now I'm a little worried! Any experience with this? We've already filed for citizenship so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it? Any advice is appreciated!
