I agree with you thanks. And sorry to bother everyone today about this letter I am still waiting for the mail but I saw someone from July thread had similar and it is the 18 months extension letter. So some relief I Just feel like Vermont was great to get the approval within a year and hope it will not take long.

No problem- it’s anxiety provoking I agree but soon you will have an answer. Try to see the positive - If it’s an extension letter- you don’t have to worry about getting a stamp and you will have proof of your status for months to come...if it’s an RfE they have reviewed your case and they are making progress... if it’s an approval we’ll congratulations you will be done with USCIS for many years (unless you choose to become a citizen) 😊

I am not sure where you are from but having a governmental job is extremely hard to come by and does require tons of experience and education. I’d love to have a government job...and I have two degrees.

Luckily for me. The proof is in the pudding. There is a reason there are these huge processing delays and its always going to boil down to who is actually doing the work... the underskilled people. Another example of poorly manged government agencies can be your local DMV.. have you ever been to one of those? Another example is your local social security adminstration office.. i can mention many more.

Thank you. I was worried that it might happen, so it wasn't such a surprise, but it is still frustrating. Now our celebration dinner is postponed for an uncertain amount of time 😅

Now since I have a game plan I just hope they will send it back to USCIS right away. Fingers crossed 🤞

I paid USPS to deliver any mail with my last name that is sent to my old address to my new house. I moved in Feb. 2018. They would forward every single piece of mail that still has my old address to my new one. They put a yellow sticker on it with my new address. My new extension letter arrived to my new address since I also changed my address with USCIS.

It's interesting that you believe these delays are 100% the fault of the grunts doing the paperwork as opposed to policy being set by this administration that is dramatically slowing down all forms of immigration and naturalization. They delays were definitely there even during the last administration, but they've been dramatically exacerbated over the last year or so, and i do not think this is coincidence.

Yes, I do receive my mail which is being sent to my previous address too even so I didn't pay for it since it's a service which USPS provides for free.

If you read my initial post, you'd see that I did change my address with USCIS and even have it confirmed by an IO, however they haven't changed it in their system for some reason and that is why I'm in this situation now. Also, you would see that according to USCIS officer USPS is not allowed to forward a letter with a GC inside, they are supposed to send it back to USCIS.

This is what happens when people are not smart enough to compete for jobs in the private sector. They apply for government jobs which leads to an abundance of underskilled people working for government agencies who cannot perform basic tasks such as processing paperwork which causes delays in all areas of government which is why nothing ever gets done. Processing our immigration applications .. and more specifically these I-751's is a prime example of that.

it is pretty shocking to read statement like that

he is generalizing; there are smart people in government as well. There are inefficiencies but of course entire government can not be privatized. Imagine koch brothers running the entire US government :P
