it seems california service center doesnt process daca cases at all

Some DACA applications are adjucated in CSC according to USCIS processing timeline (See I821D), but as well as VSC and Nebraska.

I dont know how exactly it works, but my understanding is depending on where you live, you file for Phoenix, Dallas, and Chicago, where officers in those 3 cities field offices will distribute again to either CSC,VSC, or Nebraska.

It is hard to tell how many DACA applicants CSC will take on, but considering how USCIS does not like to reveal how it operates, it will remain closed door practice. Like anything else in USA, every thing depends, and no body including congressmen and women, who represents the constituents can tell except high ranking USCIS officers (such as field office directors).

true, seems like we don't have much knowledge at all about their process. if you think that some november 2016 csv filers are still waiting and some april 2017 filer already been approved...

Congrats!

I cannot believe the way VSC is whipping these approvals out.  Yippee for VSC filers.

And, I also cannot believe nothing has been done to adjust the disparity between the 2 service centers!!!

Hold your horses...VSC may be approving these, but we went to NYC USCIS and got a stamp extending his Green Card by another year. The Officer said all she and three other colleagues do all day is literally stamp the I-551 because people are coming in all anxious about their letter expiring. I asked about my application )NOA1 June 2017) She couldn't see any movement. She said with a N-400 also filed, it will be done together. So maybe March 2019.

I have a question, for y'all experts here.

We already have established that if USCIS site has "Case was received at my local office"  and no paper letter was received; with a reasonable certainty this message is not accurate and case is still with VSC or CSC.

Now, I see June cases being resolved actively, some filed before my day of NOA, some after.

Does actual local office play any role in how soon would those cases been resolved? For example Pittsburgh and Baltimore filers have different field office, but both groups would send i751 to VSC. So can we suspect that those affiliated with particular field office would get a priority?

csc/vsc decides who gets interviewed and who doesnt

if you will be interviewed,  then field offices will affect your case,

if you will not have an interview,  then field offices wont affect your cases at all

Finally received an approval AND they're producing my card and will mail it to me notification on July 18, 2018.

Also, a bit concerning that when I logged into https://egov.uscis.gov/  I get this mumbo jumbo updates about address change  where I certainly did not request for it. Should I be concerned that they'll deliver my card to a different address?

Apparently this notice is indication that you've been approved and card will be shipped shortly.  Others have commented on this too.  No need to worry.  Guess its just a glitch within their system.

@AliaAlia congrats!!!!

What is the date of the update "change of address"? Yesterday I called USCIS to check on my case (still pending) and the latest thing they could see was a "change of address". I did change my address but more than 3 months ago and the update they saw was dated 06/26...  :-(
