My NOA1 date is also June 8 and I still haven't received a biometrics letter yet. Yesterday I finally called USCIS and talked to a Tier 1 guy. Since it's been 34 days he put me on hold, contacted my local office and when he got back to me he told me that they are going to send out a letter very soon and that I can call back on August 13th (30 days later I guess) if I still haven't received anything by then. I really hope that my letter is on its way now ...

Thank you for updating us. This might be very helpful. Hope you get your biometrics letter soon

I finally got back on this site.  Firefox kept warning me that the login is not secure and so I hesitated for a long time before signing in again.  Hopefully this site is not being hacked.  Anyway, I have spent quite a bit of time reading through this form but wish I had read all of this before I submitted our I-751 package.  For example, I simply made copies of our tax return for 2016 and did not get a transcript.  We will see what happens.  We bought a house in both our names so this should carry a lot of weight.  We are both on the mortgage and the property tax bills.  We included beneficiary statements, insurance docs, and notarized affidavits from friends.   I hope this is enough to please the immigration agent reviewing our docs.

I hope we don't get a biometric appointment for early August because we are planning a trip for the first 10 days or so.   Good luck to all and thanks to so many people helping others.   This is really a great site.

I was supposed to send my packet after June 25, my husband and I were out of the country so unfortunately I wasn't able to send mine til July 10. I have a tracking number on it , was supposed to arrive July 12. When I checked the tracking number online it says it's not a valid number ... Ughh

Well.. I wish you have reached a Tier 2 IO - that person could've looked up at your case, using your A-#, and you would've known if your biometric appointment has been already scheduled.. Just to make sure you are not missing this..

Her is the "steps" how I've reached a Ttier 2 (I've done it 3 times and it always worked ;) )

1. Call this amazing line 1 800-375-5283

2. Yes, press 1 for English.

3. DO NOT press 2. You are right, it won't recognize your NOA1 #, so listen to the end. There will be an option, the last one before "repeat "   - for any other questions press star key. This IS your option.

3. After "long robot speech"  press 4 "to reach services for LPR"

4. then 1 - again  "to reach services for LPR"

5. press 3, then 2..

yes' it's a long way :) and again  - first person you'll talk will be a Tier 1. And they will tell you the standard thing about 30 days and your eligibility to put a service request.  Great!  Listen and after that ask if they could look and tell if your biometric was scheduled.. because you don't really want to miss it.. At this point, usually, they offer you to be transferred to a Tier 2 IO ,or at least you can ask for tha at this point - only a Tier 2 IO has an access to your case.

P.S. My son's biometric appointment has never arrived, and when I got a chance to speak with a Tier 2 Immigration Officer (steps above ;) ),  he confirmed that an appointment was scheduled.. He was so helpful and kind , that he faxed the copy of  ACS Notice to me, because there was no way the copy of the Notice would've found us BEFORE actual appointment .. I understand it's not happening every day, but it's worth to try..

Good luck!!!

I have not received my Biometrics appointment so I contacted USCIS using your suggestion, thank you so much!

I called at exactly 8am so the gentleman who assisted me was in a good mood and was so helpful. Everything is going well, he transferred me to a Tier 2 who told me he unfortunately can't open files with receipt number starting with WAC. He was apologetic but he said an Immigration Officer will be able to assist so he did transfer me again. Then the prompt says all IOs are engaged in call so they'll have to call me back even though the wait time was just 1 minute. Ok fine, my phone rang with USCIS in the caller ID after just two seconds! It was fast and I immediately answered but then there was a prompt saying an IO will assist me soon, then music, then the call dropped... ughhh..

So I repeated the steps above only this time I was assisted by a lady who straight away just recommend to file a case for me. She gave me a case referral number to prove that USCIS contacted the field office that I have not received my Biometrics. She instructed me to wait for another 30 days before I follow up.

I wish I was speaking to the gentleman again and maybe if he could transfer me, I'd be connected successfully this time!

I feel frustrated and I'm just wishing that the letter will just appear in my mailbox today or next week.

Wow... I know how it feels when you think you are almost there, you've reached a Tier 2 IO.. and the next second you get disconnected... I'm so sorry ;(

When it happened to me , they also tried to file a case, right away.. I told that person  I've been ALREADY TRANSFERRED to a Tier 2 to talk and we just got disconnected...This worked...

I think, yes, it takes a little more luck in addition - to get a "right' first person on hold to be transferred to a IO..

I do hope you'll have your Notice soon, in mail box.

For now, at least, they have a "record" you've contacted them due to not receiving your bio metric appointment letter...

Okay.. being obsessive compulsive, I was very uneasy and can't focus at work. Soooo I called AGAIN for the third time!

This time, I explained to the gentleman what happened in my first call and he apologized and straight away transferred me to an IO officer!! :D

Again there's a prompt to leave my number so they can call me back this time  in 20 minutes.

My phone rang then there's a prompt again that all IOs are busy at the moment so I waited and then there it is... a live, kind, very helpful, and accommodating gentleman Immigration Officer!! When he said hello it felt like hearing a voice of a long time friend, hahaha!!

So I explained that I have not received my Biometrics letter yet. He checked my status and said that my records indicate the last biometrics appointment when I adjusted my status, March 3, 2015. Normally they don't reschedule appointments if within 15 months so he doesn't know why an appointment has not been scheduled yet. So he went ahead and filed a request and I should receive the letter in the mail in the next 10-14 business days.

All this time I was thinking my letter is on its way and I tell myself to be patient when in fact, I was waiting for nothing. How sad!!

I am so relieved now!! I can check my mailbox in the next few days and will not get frustrated every time there's no mail! :D

Thank you again for your suggestion! It really works!! I love this forum so much!!!

You are so welcome !!

Well, it would me - not being able to focus at work and ... I would definitely give it another try and call again :)

And OMG. - I'm so glad it worked and you made it through!!!!

P.S.  "a live, kind, very helpful, and accommodating gentleman Immigration Officer!! When he said hello it felt like hearing a voice of a long time friend,.." - this made my day. Thank you. :)

This is exactly how you feel when you talk to IO who doesn't tell you that "30 days thing" anymore, but asks "make sense questions" and you start feeling like "yes, THIS TIME I will be helped and I will get my answers".

I know right!! I told him I waited after 30 days before calling them. He said the 30 days is their target but in reality, some offices are incredibly backed up so delays happen. I asked what if I don't receive the mail in 14 business days, should I call this number again? And he said, "Madame, don't worry. There's a slim chance that will happen. Usually after an IO sent in a request, mails are sent out on time." And then we laughed! :D Maybe to him I sounded very worried and he was so nice he assured me multiple times! God bless him!

:) Exactly what I was told  when I asked  - if nothing faxed to me within 24 hours does that mean i have to call this line AGAIN?!... After numerous tries I felt like I was pretty much done, calling them... He laughed - probably "grief&sorrow" in my voice were very "talkative" ;) and said, no  worries - it WILL be faxed

And if before I couldn't focus at work and etc ,  well, after fax was received -  don't remember when  the last time I've done so much work for such period of time ;):)

Hi Folks,

I begun to noticed that something is happening with fellows VJ whose haven't received biometric appointment letters yet. This isn't only happening to those whose filed for RoC. This is also happening to people who are now processing for AOS. I read a couple days ago that one of them had difficulty to get their biometric appointment letter and they filed back on March, I believe.

So I called USCIS again... now this time I told them that I received the letter 30 days ago, so they transferred me to a Tier 2 agent and they checked my receipt number and they said that there's nothing scheduled for my biometrics appointment yet and that I should call again in August to see if there's something new.

This is so frustrating, I don't know what to do anymore! :(

I know how it feels! Try again until you speak to an accommodating rep! I called 3x today and didn't stop until I speak to an Immigration Officer.

Well, at least now you know ACS Notice has not been lost and you are not missing your appointment!!

I think it wasn't scheduled, yet, because of your local USCIS Field Office - probably they are backlogged..

It is very frustrating. On the bright side though completing biometrics sooner or later probably won't change thier general processing time. It doesn't take a year to do a background check, however it does take a year(or however long) for the immigration officer to look at cases with completed check. Trying to stay positive like that.
