Portland stabbing: Jeremy Joseph Christian appears in court

Jeremy Joseph Christian, 35, is facing charges of murder, attempted murder, intimidation, and possession of a weapon.

During his brief appearance, he shouted slogans such as: "You call it terrorism. I call it patriotism."

He could also be heard shouting "Death to the enemies of America".

"Leave this country if you hate our freedom - death to antifa," he said, using a common abbreviation for the anti-fascist movement.

He did not enter a plea to the charges and is due to appear in court again on 7 June.

Not sure he is the picture of mental stability.  it does appear from the data is he a lone wolf and not tied to specific groups

So when can we start actually prosecuting these people on terrorism charges?

Don't care whom he does or doesn't support. He is a terrorist and should be treated as so.

We don't see the Federal government weighing in on this case as a hate crime or terrorism.  This is apparently a Portland problem.

I agree on that, just referring to all the jumping to conclusions right after it happened already assuming this is yet another "Trump effect"(you know, kinda like the threats to the Jewish schools, or some of the violence that was attributed to his supporters, etc).
