Hey guys, I have a couple questions about the I-129f, I hope you can help

1. When the I-129f asks for Information About Your Parents, does that mean your biological parents or step parents?

2. What should you put in the box “In Care Of Name” if you live with your parents and they have a different last name than you?

3. The I-129f says that “If your beneficiary is currently in the United States, complete Item Numbers 38.a. - 38.h.” I assume that if the beneficiary was in the United States but has left the country before the I-129f was filed, 38.a. - 38.h. should NOT be completed. Am I correct? Or should it still be filled out? I’m confused

4. I’m filling the I-129f out electronically and sometimes Adobe Acrobat Reader DC automatically blanks out certain boxes that don’t apply to us so I can’t fill them out. Should I still print “N/A” or “None” with a pen over them, or is that unneccesary?

5. With certain boxes that don’t apply to us like address history, should I just write “N/A” in all of them or leave them empty?

6. What should you put in the box “Employment End Date” if you’re still working there?

7. The I-129f asks for a “Daytime Telephone Number” of the place where the beneficiary intends to live. If we don’t have a landline there, can we put a mobile phone number there? Or should we just keep it empty?

8. Should you write the names, time and place on the bottom or on the back side of photos that you include as proof? And should you use pencil or black pen? I’ve heard it both ways

9. Would you recommend including proof of an ongoing relationship (frontloading) with the I-129F or should that only come later in the embassy stage? Our embassy will be Frankfurt, Germany.

10. Which post address should you send it to? Dallas or Lewisville?

I know it’s a lot of questions, but we wanna make sure that everything is perfect so we can avoid RFEs.

Thank you for your help

I would put the information about your birth parents.  I guess if you were adopted by your step parent, then I might use them instead.

Do you receive mailings at that address?  If so, then put your name.  If you get all your mail in your parents name, then put them.

Only if they are currently in the US when you file the I129F.

I would just leave them blank as they apply to yes/no questions and don't apply based on that answer.

Personally, I would leave them blank, but you can put N/A.

I would put "Current" or leave it blank.

Mobile number should be sufficient.

We used a black pen and captioned them under each photo.

Entirely up to you, some feel it is needed, others don't both get approved.  I think the only requirement is for proving you have met at least once in person in the last two years.  I would definitely include travel itineraries and boarding passes from any trips you took to meet your fiancé.

If using USPS send it to the Dallas address, if using FexEx, UPS, or other means, use the Lewisville address.

Thank you for your help

Make sure you each write a relationship narrative and sign and date them to include with the package.
