Real debate is backing up every opinion of mine with facts and data, as well as countering arguments by addressing them directly and specifically, both of which I did.  And neither of which you did.  In fact you countered with irrelevant arguments, non-arguments, slim pickings, and even changed my words literally and attributed them to me.  

 

Now, you're not even doing any of these things, but just tossing colorful adjectives around and letting all of us know you hate liberals.  Indeed.

Oh good, something to actually debate.

 

The ACA was a bad piece of legislation in many respects, and needs a serious overhaul.  However, the ACHA solution is worse, almost a step back to what it was that got everyone clamoring for the ACA in the first place.  Prices will continue to go out of control and millions will be without healthcare.

 

While of course we can fix ACA rather than go backwards on it (the state of Washington did the latter much to their hard learned lesson on what not to do), neither is really the best solution.  A single payer system, with private insurance as an option for those who wish to spend the extra on it, is probably the most humane, sane, and economically viable solution for an essential something that we all need.

 

And, no, this isn't some utopian dream world solution.  In fact, it is already currently practiced by almost all the developed nations in the world.  

 

Except us.

I think Americans are more individualistic culturally and single payer HC is harder to accept for them than for Europeans

 

In a lot of other developed countries HC is considered a basic right: in France the right to health is written in the constitution for example.

I won't label Trump as disabled, mentally unstable, or whatever other similar adjectives used to describe him.  I see him as self-serving and egotistical, with a tendency of impulsiveness.

 

Either way, I will say that it should be quite clear to most by now that, whatever character qualities he has or doesn't have, his simply does not seem to  be the right makeup to have leading the most powerful nation in the world.  He may have certain qualities that got him successful in the corporate world, but those don't necessarily translate.

 

In fact, we probably need someone not heavily involved in the corporate world at this point, the way it has already overrun Washington.  

 

I'd like to see someone who truly identifies, and deeply cares, about the common man in charge.
