Hi all, 

Thanks for the help so far!  I've officially front-loaded the app with evidence, have all my documents together, printed and signed everything and am waiting on a few things from my wife before mailing this out!

 

(The instructions say you don't need to sign a 130-A and that you don't need passport pics if your spouse isn't in the US, but I keep getting conflicting info, so sending it signed and sending passport pics). 

 

The big question, I keep hearing if you file multiple petitions together, and one gets denied, they all will get denied and you waive your entire app fee (if I write one check).  Should I write a check per application? I'm concerned that one will randomly get singled out, though realisitically it won't matter as we won't do anything without them all approved.  

 

Any advice would be awesome!  I'll be spending the day making sure every box is checked and signature of in place.  Time to mail this off this week!

Where is the conflicting info coming from?

You should be following what the instructions from the official site say.

Also forms have changed over the past year so people may have had different experiences, for instance, I had to send pictures and sign.

 

I'm not sure about all getting denied, but I think it should be one check for each application, but again check the official docs.

Everyone is checked, being singled out would mean there's a red flag.

Also looks like you're from the UK so shouldn't be too worried.

 

Also I'm assuming the multiple applications are for multiple people

Forum members but of course I would rather be cautious than not.  I think I will submit a check per application.   

 

Sorry if I got it wrong....my wife and stepkids are from the UK. I'm Texas born. Trying to bring them over here. :-)

 

Why is the UK not a worry. Seems to be a common theme.  One of the easier ones?

UK doesn't have high fraud risk like other countries and I don't think there's generally issues with people from the UK trying to illegally enter.
