How to Add Beneficiary's spouse/kids After Receiving the NVC Welcome Letter?

Hi. My mother (U.S. Citizen) is the petitioner to 4 of her siblings (beneficiary) in a foreign country. They all share the same mother/father. Recently, her siblings received their NVC Welcome Letter to prepare for the immigrant visa interview. Throughout these years of waiting, the siblings (my uncles and aunts) have married and have kids. However, my mother didn't know/forgot to add her siblings' spouse/children as beneficiary as well as only the siblings were the beneficiary initially. The local agency is charging us $150 per family to add the beneficiary's spouse/children (which they said will take about 2 months to process) and we don't have the money for that :(. My mom has put me in charge of finding out how to add them since she doesn't understand English well. I don't know which form I have to fill out to add my uncle/aunts' spouse and children because the agency won't tell us which form (since they want to take our money) we have to fill. I have to basically add my uncle/aunts spouse and children before I could help them proceed to the Step 1-5 in the NVC Welcome Letter.

I'm lost and feel overwhelmed because I don't know where to start and I've googled and looked at the relevant guides on this forum but I couldn't find any help. I have my finals this week and this is really stressing me out. I'm sorry if I've broken any rules (first time here!) and I do appreciate any help that's given!! Thank you for reading!

p.s. if more information/detail is needed please let me know!!

Either your mom or those four beneficiaries (her siblings) should contact NVC about adding derivatives (their spouses and kids) to their individual case. They will need to send copies of marriage certificate and birth certificates of the kids to NVC which will then update the case including the derivatives and will update the fees accordingly. Thereafter its the regular process. Just follow NVC's direction for in Its new letter/email then.

exactly

with the case number, they can email copies of the marriage and birth certificates to NVC and an email or letter to update their cases and add spouses and children under 21

there aren't any forms to fill out, that is a scam

they have to contact nvc to update their cases, that's all

Wow thank you arken and aleful! This sounds easier than I expected. I will contact the NVC then! It's much easier to search for "derivatives" (I didn't know that was the word) online than what I did. You guys are very helpful and I appreciate it very much!

Call the NVC. You need to email the cover sheet (I think) with the civil documents. But to be sure, call the NVC and they will tell you exactly what to do

good luck

My case was similar. I added my husband and my kids after the welcome letter. You should prepare the file for the whole family (AOS, civil documents). And include a letter requested for the rest of the family to be added to the petition.

You need to make sure that the sponsor has enough income for his own family and the beneficiary family

best regards
