Sending international mail to Delhi

We should receive our NOA2 for his K1 visa soon, so I mailed the affidavit of support with my original signature, revised letter of intent, and a letter from my employer (with signature on letterhead) stating my annual income and employment status. I mailed it in a regular letter-sized envelope, normal international USPS post on April 28th. He still hasn't received it! The address is just outside of Delhi in Ghaziabad.

Any tips for sending mail to India? Should i try another mail carrier? Am I correct that he needs those three things with my signature (not scanned copies)?

Thank you in advance!

I send my fiance letters/cards in the mail pretty frequently. Ive always used just standard international mailing from USPS. No matter where he has lived in India, it usually takes about a month (shortest time being 3 weeks) . But the last 2 cards I have mailed him, have never reached, and its been about 2-4 months for each of those. Ive also send him a few letters about 2-3 weeks ago, and he hasnt gotten them yet either. At this point, Ive given up hope that our anniversary card and his valentines card is ever going to reach. I would say if he doesnt get it within the next week or so, send it again.

I would suggest using a different carrier. I don't plan on using USPS to send him the documents, because of the letters that have went missing recently.

Did you send him a copy of the I-129f form and all documents you submitted with that?  Ive read a few people who said they did, so they could have it to take with them to interview. Others didnt. Just trying to get together everything I need to send to my fiance as well.

Has your fiance gotten his police certificate/reports yet? We were looking today trying to figure out where he is supposed to go to get those, and how long it could take?

We found out that a friend of his has a mutual friend who happens to live in New Jersey. That guy's neighbor is going to Kerala next week and will bring my forms to be mailed from Kerala to Delhi. Hopefully we'll have better luck with Indian domestic mail than international. We also heard that DHL is more reliable, but also very expensive ($80-90 for a letter!) I just mailed him a birthday card with a global forever USPS stamp - crossing my fingers he gets it in time!

I went to see my fiance not long after I sent in the petition, so I was able to hand-deliver a copy of everything I submitted. I figure he should see everything the CO sees. Maybe you could scan and email copies to him - more reliable and a lot cheaper lol.

I have been after my fiance to get his police clearance. He's the procrastinator, I'm the planner! I believe they go to the same police station that they go to for police verification for passports. I don't think it takes long. He's also still waiting for his birth certificate from Kerala. He was born before birth registrations were required, so it's a big pain in the @$$. I know he can't get his medical until we have the NVC case number.
