Man Attacks Train Passengers in Oregon for Protecting Teenagers

The attack on Friday afternoon unfolded hours before the start of Ramadan, Islam's holy month, when most of the world's 1.6 billion Muslims observe a daily religious fast.

The incident began when the man started shouting ethnic and religious slurs at two women who appeared to be Muslim on a MAX train at the Hollywood Transit Station, the Portland Police Department said in a statement. Three men who intervened were stabbed, two fatally.

The attacker, 35-year-old Jeremy Joseph Christian of Portland, was arrested shortly after he left the train, police said.

Christian was booked into jail on two counts of aggravated murder and additional charges of attempted murder, intimidation in the second degree and being a felon in possession of a restricted weapon, police said. Hudson recounted what her daughter, Destinee, told her hours after police tracked down the man as he ran from the rush-hour train into the Hollywood neighborhood. Other passengers chased him from a distance and called 911.

The suspect left a gruesome scene on the Green Line train. He lashed out at three men who had tried to calm him down, fatally stabbing two of them and sending the other to the hospital with stab wounds, police said. The killer is a felon with a history of violent crime, including kidnapping and armed robbery.

 

Scary. Some people just snap and go insane.

If it makes ya feel any better I read about it first on an Israeli paper's online site this morning already - long before it was on VJ...I also just watched it on FOX less than an hour ago.

Ahh okay. I have like 4 news apps on my phone so I'm used to getting a push notification when something big happens and I didn't get one for this, only saw it on fb. I guess thats why it felt understated.

A non Islamic person committing a crime absolves Islamic people of their problems with terrorism, lack of integration in western culture, and acquiescence toward extremism by non extremists? lol. Speaking of desperation for a narrative.. I've got a mirror for you.
