I-864 & I864A

Dear Friends,

We just started to prepare the forms to apply for AOS. I have some questions about I-864 & I-864A. My wife will use his father's income, now my wife will have to I-864 and also my wife's father will have to fill I-864A, Do I understand right? i am confused who is the sponsor and who is the household member on form I-864A? would anybody give info about this please?

Does your father-in-law live with you at the same house ???? If so, yes, he will file an I-864A - if he doesn't live with you, then he needs to file an I-864 just like your wife.

Yes, We live at same house. Himm so we will need my father-in-law to fill I-864A. Is my father in law is a household member or is he sponsor?

That I do not know because I sponsored my wife 100%, we didn't have to use a co-sponsor, but hang in there, 'cuz someone here will answer your question.

Your wife is your sponsor, and her father the household member.

No matter what guys, your spouse is your sponsor. Anybody else helping fulfill the affidavit of support will be the joint sponsor or household member (this last apply only when you are living with this last person).
