I just wanted to ask if anybody here has the same status like mine.

May 2, 2017 (citizenship interview) IO told me that they cannot make a decision regarding my application that time.

May 5, 2017 Check my status online and they change my status to "My Oath Ceremony will be Scheduled"  we placed you in line for your oath ceremony and will send you a notice for Receipt # IOE********* with the date, time and location of your oath ceremony. you should receive your notice within 30 days of its mailing date. please follow the instruction in the notice. if you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address. and check My.uscis.gov and my Current status that's been updated at the same date is " we approved your application" final step to becoming a citizen is to attend your naturalization ceremony, we will mail you a letter when we schedule your naturalization ceremony.

Until now (5-26-17) i still didn't receive a notice for my Oath taking from them regarding my oath taking date. call the 1-800 and talk to a customer rep and they giving me the same updated that i seen when i am checking my status. what should i do? any input and advice will help.

thank you

Your status message "We placed you in line for your oath ceremony..." is pretty straightforward... It means you are in queue to be scheduled for an oath date but USCIS has not actually scheduled a date yet.

Once your oath date becomes scheduled, you will receive another message that says "Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed. We sent you a notice..." THat's when you should expect a notice in your mailbox with a date. So for now, there is nothing for you to do but wait.

Good luck and congrats!

Thank you very much... i also keep checking my account in USCIS just in case they mailed it already, because most of the time our mail lady put our mail to my neighbors mail box. i am just going to wait for the notice in our mailbox... hope it is sooner because i have a plan to go to my country on July

First, congratulations on passing the citizenship step! I know it is hard because you are SOOOO close to finishing (almost--because your US passport is next!), but you still need to be a little patient...It will be mailed soon! Just be aware that your Philippine passport will not be valid once you take the oath. You will need your US passport to travel overseas. You can request expedited (2 weeks) service for your passport. I THINK you can get it sooner if you have travel plans already, but I am not sure. Look through the US Passport thread for more information. Good luck and enjoy the ceremony! It is a great day!--Steve
