I am not sure what to do. I am daily reader of VJ, however, this is the first time I am writing. My wife had an interview for her K-3 on Feb 06,2007. Since then she is on AP, and embassy is not giving any timeframe that how long it can go. This waiting period is so painful. I have seen that there lot of people that they are dealing with that AP stuff. I would like to invite them as we all can share our MISERY.

My interview was on 29th march 07. Since then i am on AP. The CO told me to wait minimum 2 months and maximum 4 months. Lets see if it comes in 4 months(I am not sure about that). You are right waiting is really painful.

Pink slip ?? CO gave me 2 papers one was AP letter and the other was about courier details with a token stappled. I think token's color is pink are you asking about that token ??

My husband had his interview in Dec. He's been on AP since then. He didn't receive anything just put on AP. Good luck to all of you and may your AP be quick.

hi we have been on AP since Aug 2005!!!!!!!!!! your read that correctly since 2005! this comming aug will mark 2 years in hell.

we did not get pink slips all we got is DRAMA! they tell us we will get the visa..but then all we get is cancellations. now our security checks are once

again about to expire- does the G-dubyament care? NO they dont. we cant plan a future in this hell. we cant enjoy a marriage like normal people. instead we both are starting to drift and lose all hope. we did not do anything to be placed in this hell -like this. I hate this process and I hate the embassy.

seemingly women are placed on AP for a small amount of time. MEN are placed on AP at least 1 year- Thats the normal time frame for men!

my wife interview was on 04/10 they have not given her any type of paper but told her that she will get the passport in two month.

if you have been on AP/AR for a year or more like me. you can file what is called a Writ mandamus.

this basicly forces the embassy to make a decison. but the LONGER you wait the better your chances.

Hello Imran, she did not receive the slip (pink) that has serial#. Also, they give you a paper that states further work is required on your case and it can take up to 45 days.

Well, they have kept the passport, it is a good sign. Wellcome to AP board my friend. Nothing we can do, I agree it seems impossible. You pass through each step and in the end you are just stuck....

K-3 approval has en expiration date whcih is four months from the day it approves. I m curious what happens when you are on AP and this four months period expires. Please share any experience on that...
