Interview date provided by NVC?

I'm sure this has been asked here before, but I'm having trouble finding the answer... My case is showing as 'In Transit' (yay!) but the note on the case tracker is that "Your interview dats was provided to you by the National Visa Center". I was under the impression that UK filers booked their own interview date online, but this suggests not. Can anyone clarify what I should expect? Thank you, and apologies for what I'm sure is a common question.

It's a generic message for immigrant visas (K-1 is not an immigrant visa), so pay no attention.

You can expect to get a letter from London saying to follow the K1 instructions on their website.

Yes, it's all very simple and straightforwards to follow (I did it just a few weeks ago). You go through various screens entering some info, then pay for the interview (and delivery of your documents, if you prefer that to going somewhere to collect them), then select which date / time you want to attend, based on their current availability for the coming days/weeks. Job done.
