Medical Exam

I had him do his medical exam today in Juarez.. He said they were rude and asked about like whether he drank beer and then sent him to a special room like with a therapist or something. Is this normal process? They also asked if he had ever been arrested and he had for no drivers license so he said yes. Is this normal? He is scared!!

I'm not sure how things work in Mexico but I just had my Medical Exam done and they did ask me questions but they never send me to any therapist or asked me if I ever got arrested. They did ask me though questions like if I ever had surgery, if I use drugs, alcohol or any type of medication..etc.

What? Which place did he go? My husband had a wonderful experience at his Juarez medical exam. 

 

First, about the alcohol - yes, at Juarez occasionally if you say yes to drinking alcohol, they will make you talk to a psychologist to make sure you aren't an addict/abuser. Happens all the time and is nothing to be scared of. Standard operating procedure.

 

And, yes, they always ask about if you have been arrested. Is that on his acta de no antecedentes penales? Or does it not show up? Either way, you need to be honest and tell the truth, so it's good that he did that. And it does not automatically disqualify you - people with much worse criminal records still get approved.

yes Juarez International medical clinic. Ok so sounds like standard practice thanks for your response. He was freaking out hes like I haven't even made it to my interview yet and they are asking me this stuff.

He thought they were asking about here in US he never got arrested there in Mexico.  So he was like yes for no drivers license.

Yes, they ask everyone those questions at the medical. Dile que no se preocupe. And besides, they will give him the results this afternoon and will tell him right away if there were issues are not.

 

As far as being confused about the arrest thing... He can explain that at the interview - they will ask about it. He just needs to be calm and answer the questions truthfully! The people at the consulate were really friendly, in our experience. Good luck!

That is the same with us! He went to his medical in Juarez Friday too same situation with psychologist and everything I hope it all works out our interview is Tuesday when is yours??

Ours is Thursday fingerprints Tuesday! He's super nervous our lawyer sucks so far not informing us of #######!!

My fiancée just had her medical on Monday, May 22. She has never been a drug user or a drinker. Obeyed every law known to man. However, she has s tattoo on her arm...a heart with a musical note. They sent her to psych for that. She said they were extremely nice...asked what it meant and the psychiatrist told her "I have a special love for music, too."  They did ask her if it was gang related and asked at  every opportunity if she did drugs or drank alcohol. Although they were nice to her, one lady said "if you have ever done drugs, it will show up in your blood or urine so you have to be honest. She said " that's okay...you will find nothing and I am not worried".  She went to Clinica Médica International. It was very clean and organized and everyone was professional and nice. It's quite an experience but if you are honest and are drug free, you have nothing to worry about. If you did deugs recently, then yeah, you need to be nervous.
