Hello Sir, 
I apply for my husband, his interview will be on 1st June 2017, I file my extension for 2016 tax return  and i am below poverty line, so I ask one of my relative for joint sponsor and she filled her tax return Married filing jointly, what documents are required at the time of visa interview?

You need your I-864, tax transcripts for the past three years, W'2s (if you have them), and extension letter.

 

You joint sponsor needs I-864, tax transcripts showing MFJ for last three years, and W2's for three years to show which portion of the MFJ tax return was from her income.

thanks for your reply, but my lawyer said that i don't need to gave my extension letter, since my joint sponsor is making good money and he also said that since you have a joint sponsor embassy will not look or ask for your updated tax returns, I wonder how embassy will ignore the main sponsor documents that is most recent tax return or extension letter for 2016

He got 221G requiring I-864A from spouse filing jointly.

What is 221G?

Joint Sponsor Filing Jointly ( They Both  work ?)

Its a sort of RFE or you may call it temporary refusal letter

This is why it is a best practice to provide an I-864a from any joint filing spouse.  It avoids this kind of delay.

For CR1 Visa Petitioner has no income, petitioner's father is joint sponsor. Below is the list of AOS doc we are preparing.

 

1. I-864 for petitioner with ZERO income ( learned even though petitioner income is zero, have to submit I 864 as she is a main sponsor)

2. Cover letter explaining petitioner zero income.

3. I-864 for Joint sponsor  ( Or should it be  I-864A  ?? )

4. Tax Transcript for last 3 year [Of Joint sponsor]

5. Letter of Employment. - ( join sponsor is self employed - what should can be the letter ? )

6. Pay stubs from the most recent seven months ( again self employed - Bank statement can work here ? )

 

Kindly check and suggest for point 3, 5 and 6.
