@AJR19 -- got some biometrics update for ya! :)

My husband just had his biometrics done today. He said it was a breeze (unlike the New Delhi traffic!), went in, was told what he needed for the interview (be there 15 before, all the paperwork that needs to be brought etc.). He was given some documents to read. Then he waited 5-10 minutes and had his biometrics done. That is all!

He said everyone was very courteous and the whole process was very efficient. There were no crowds and he did not have to pay for his biometrics.

Hope I could remember everything he told me -- let me know if you have any questions and I can always ask him for you!

Oh nice!!

We're still waiting for the interview to get schedule..

I'm happy to see you guys.. god bless you both..

@AJR19 -- medical done!

Everything from making the appointment to the efficacy of the staff was good. The staff was courteous, the facility was well cared for, e.g. air conditioned, no long lines -- though there were people in the waiting area.

He paid 6510 rupees for medical (which includes tests and x-ray) and 4513 rupees for the vaccinations, so in total it was 11023 rupees.

He was asked to change into a blue gown and was given a locker for his valuables. X-ray, medical exam by the doctor, tests and then vaccines where administered by the nurse (which I believe he said was done upstairs). He got MMR (priorix), influenza (Vaxigrip), DTP (boostrix), varicella (Varil rix).

I might be fuzzy on the details, but this is the gist of it. All in all it was a good experience. Hope this helps.

Hey @AJR19 -- I get the feeling that you guys won't need them, but just in case you want to have them, here is how I do it.

Go to phone on your iPhone, click "recents", choose "all" and then you will see all your facetime audios and videos listed there. Click the little info sign on the right (next to the call time) and then screen cap each one (skipping the ones listed as today & yesterday. Those you can do in two days when they have the dates appear on them).

I put 6 of these screen shots on a page ranging in dates then go for duplex printing and in color, just like our chats. Hope this helps ☺️

Thank you so much, I will message you to let you know how it all went.

your interview will be great. I know your husband will come out of the embessy with flying colors.

I need help!!!!! I'm really confused now... I need to make an appointment for my fingerprints and photo taken. So https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/ is the right place to make an appointment. It won't be the visa interview appointment right?! Because NVC already schedule our visa interview. Please help as soon as you can! Because I need to make an appointment and it says on this website that earliest appointment will be of August 28. So I need to make the VAC appointment ASAP.. please help.

Yes, that is the thing about FaceTime -- you have a limited amount of time to get these screenshots. 2 weeks max.

Ok so, here are the steps (hopefully I am awake enough to remember everything!):

  1. Got our interview date from NVC
  2. Received our P4
  3. Visited http://www.ustraveldocs.com and chose Asia as the country and clicked on India and ended up on http://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/index.html?firstTime=No -- my husband already had an account, so I logged in for him (under APPLY FOR A US VISA box -- you can either log in or create an account) https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/?language=English&country=India
  4. Once logged in, I chose "New Application/Schedule an Appointment  (left hand side)
  5. Chose Immigrant Visa clicked continue
  6. Chose India-Delhi clicked continue
  7. Chose English (as the language of the interview) clicked continue
  8. Chose "All Immigrant and Diversity Visas" clicked continue
  9. Chose CR-1 clicked continue
  10. and then followed the prompts

I see that the first available appointment is on September 1st, on the left hand side -- please log in now and make an appointment. This appointment is not for your interview, but your biometrics! Do this asap ok!!

Once you get your biometrics appointment scheduled, call Max and make an appointment for your medical. These places are supposedly in close proximity, so you can get it done in the same day!

Let me know it all goes.
