I am engaged to my fiancé who is on an F-1 Student Visa. I just passed my interview for naturalization 3 days ago. I'm still waiting for my oath ceremony date.

My fiancé and I are planning to have our wedding next year, however we are trying to get all the legal document work out of the way before our wedding, by doing a court marriage in Los Angeles, and filing for I-130 petition for him. We realize all this will take some time and money. But we would like to get this headache out of the way before our wedding ceremony.

Should we wait until I finish my oath ceremony to get married? Will getting married before my oath taking affect my naturalization process?
