Also, taking antidepressants may be harmful for your baby.

Some are safe in the 1st and 3rd trimester, very few in entire pregnancy.  However, many doctors argue that the results of not taking them could be worse than the possible fetal damage

For the 100TH time I'm suffering from PRENATAL DEPRESSION. A type of depression tleast 10% women PREGNANT WOMENsuffer from. That is the reason to expedite my case.

Hi there

I can understand your frustration. I'm almost three months pregnant with some serious medical and as a result, psychological challenges, too. I can understand why you are desperate to be with your partner during this time however being pregnant and prenatally depressed doesn't get us over the line as far as expedition is concerned. So in the meantime we have to find alternative strategies to cope.

I've recently started seeing a clinical psychologist who has been working with me to manage the depression and anxiety. I've decided not to have antidepressants (even though they were prescribed) as I'm not convinced that they are in the best interests of my baby even though they may  help me. Instead I'm exploring alternative remedies including aromatherapy and prenatal pilates which get me out of the house and reduce the isolation but most importantly distract me from worrying about everything all the time.

I'd like to encourage you to think positively and try to enjoy your pregnancy because this is a very special time and it won't ever come again. The immigration process will take as long as it needs to and no matter how much we stress, its not going to go any faster.

Sending you and your baby lots of positive wishes and hope!

Keep that chin up,

Ina

Perhaps visiting whilst the case processes may help?

My initial scan date was March 31st. I received q letter on May 10 staying that I need to submit a PCC from the passport office for my husband. Inorder  to get that my husband had to get a new passport because my name was not listed on the old one and PAL would not issue a PCC. I am currently 5 months pregnant and since it will take another 11 weeks for NVC to review after the second scan date it'll put us very close to my due date. I'm currently suffering from prenatal depression and taking antidepressants. Is there a way to expedite my case?

I have different question for you- Have you sent the PCC to NVC? Have you enquired if theres's going to be an issue since his PCC has a different passport number (based on his new passport) and his approved I-130 and the file with NVC has his old passport details? I am in a similar situation and I have already sent my PCC with new passport details. Not sure how thats going to work out and dreading another checklist. Just keeping my fingers crossed now. Keep us posted on your situation.

As oppose to 11 weeks, the NVC would most likely respond in about 8-9 weeks. You can start calling them around 6-7 week to find out about your case status.

Wish you luck for your pregnancy and case.
