AOS rigth after marriage?

I was wondering what if you get in US on a K1 visa, get married and after,say, 3 days file for AOS?

Would we get denied cause we do not have enough time as a married couple or sth?

I am asking cause they want proof of that - insurances, bank accounts etc, which I suppose is not that easy to get right away...

Anybody did that?

I've seen a few people do that. The first one that comes to mind is Mercy who mailed in the AOS paperwork the day she got married and she now has her greencard.

Go ahead and file right after marriage. You should have enough time to gather bonafides of the marriage before you need them at the interview. Start gathering right away.

On a K1 I doubt it would be an issue.

We were married within one week of arrival and the AOS paperwork sent in 2 weeks after that. Since marriage we are slowly trying to gather documentation for the interview. Medical insurance was no problem, the lease for the apartment was difficult, but done, bank accounts were no problem. If we had not had the social security number I think getting this done would have been more difficult. Still working on changing things like utilites and other accounts.

oh and everytime we go out, the digital camera comes with us.

I do have a soc sec so i think at least that is not a problem...

But do u think that we can change the utilities if we are living in his parents house for 1-2 years?(I mean not the same house as his mom and dad,just their property).Because I think that this is important-or may be I am wrong?

You can most likely get added to the electricity bill. Does he have any sort of lease with his parents? Get added to that if he does. Otherwise open a joint bank account, get joint insurance (renters, health, car) and get some pictures and testimonies together for an interview. You may not have one, but it's good to start doing those things now in case you do.

We married 2 weeks after he got here and filed shortly after. He has his green card now.

Never had an interview....just approved paperwork and sent card.
