When do I schedule the interview?

Hey everyone! We just got our NOA2 and we're now waiting for NVC. I'm a little confused about the interview date. Am I the one who's going to set up a date or the embassy will do it for us? I thought that after we get our case number from NVC, we can submit DS-160 and schedule the interview but I'm not exactly sure. So can you guys please clear it up for me?

If memory serves, you fill out the DS160, pay the consulate fee, then you should be able to schedule the interview and medical exam.  This may have changed, but that is what I remember when Katya was going through the process.
