I just realized the US Embassy took my wifes original marriage and birth NSO. Wont immigration at US airport ask for original birth and marriage nso?  If the US embassy does not return it do we have to get more originals from manila?

No, the US Embassy will not return the original documents.  You will need to obtain new Marriage and Birth certificates from the NSO.  I do not believe that immigration at the US port of entry will want to see birth and marriage certificates.  But you never know.  It is a good idea to get a few copies of each the Marriage and Birth Certificates while you are still in the Philippines from the NSO.  You will need originals or certified copies for things like your Social Security Card, Drivers License, etc.

Nope.  And they state this in the instructions letter.

No POE will not ask for a copy of the birth certificate or marriage certificate.  At POE the CBP agent will want the DO NOT OPEN envelope and you passport w/visa.   All things are fine it will BIOMETRICS and have a nice day.

Yes it would be go to head over to PSA and get a extra copy or two of the birth certificate and marriage certificate.  No harm doing that now and much easier now than later.. ;)
