I filed a i130 for my sister who currently lives in Cuba. I received an invitation from USCIS to participate in the CFRP (category CP1 - CUBAN FAMILY). I obviously accepted the offer and I filed the i131 and i134 USCID requested. Everything went smoothly and I received a letter from NCV saying that I do not have no additional steps to complete at this time. "NVC will send an appointment notice once we schedule the principal applicant and derivatives of the i130 for an interview at US embassy in Havana.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the interview to be scheduled in this situation? (Knowing that it is not the timeframe of an immigrant visa but for travel documents parole which is a cuban specificity)

Hi, I am Cuban too, and I am filing for my brother in Cuba. I was trying to look for information about the program like waiting times and stuff but no one seems to be writing about it. I wonder how your sister's case ended up?

I hope everything turned out quick and alright!

We received a letter from NVC dated on May 7th 2017 saying:

"The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry concerning the immigration petition HAV********* filed by ****** (Petitioner's name) on behalf of ***** (Applicant's name).

The National Visa Center (NVC) received the conditionally approved For I-131, Application for travel document, petition filed  by  on behalf of ******* (Applicant's name) from U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services.

At this time you have no additional steps to complete. The NVC will send an appointment notice once we schedule the principal applicant and deritatives of I-130 (no deritatives in my sister's case, it's her alone) for an interview at either the U.S embassy in Havana, Cuba, or the U.S embassy in Port-au-Prince, Haiti based on you country of residence. The appointment notice will include information regarding those steps and what you will need to present at the time of the interview.

You should not make any firm plans as disposing of property, giving up jobs, or making travel arrangements at this time. As soon as we schedule your case for an interview, we will contact you or your attorney (if you designated one). You do not need to contact us unless you need to report a change of mailing address or email address or amchange in your personal situation that may affect your immigrant visa application (for example: marriage, divorce, or birth of a child)."

Basically, she already been approved to participate in the CFRP program, her I-131 and I-134 (Affidavit of support) also was approved, USCIS then sent the case to NVC, and now this letter from NVC mentioning that they sent the request to the US embassy in Havana for an appointment and we are waiting for a date from the US embassy in Havana. Again this is not an appointment for an immigrant visa (as you would be able to check the priority date online) this is an application for Travel Documents. In which stage are you in? Do you have an idea of how long it takes to get that appointment?

Hello, my sister has an approved CP1 case and has been waiting for interview date. Has someone seen any movement on the parole cases after the embassy in Havana closed? I wrote NCV and they just replied that they are still determining when they can begin scheduling appointments. Processes ready for interview will be notify in the future and cases that already had an interview date will be notified in the near future.  There is very little info on the parole cases... thanks
