I filed I-130 and received receipt as of Jan 31, 2017.  My wife has kids and I want them to start school this August so am hoping she can enter the country this summer and I am inclined to pursue the expedite path.

We were married Dec 2016 and since then I have been sending her money because, even though she is trained as a dentist, the economy in Jordan is very bad.  She and other dentists average about 5 patients per week and, as a result, her expenses are greatly exceeding her income and I am sending her money to help her.  I am effectively supporting 2 households and I am sending her about $2500/month in addition to covering my own expenses.

Could this be legitimate justification for expedite on financial hardship rationale?

Thank you

It's very, very unlikely. Most breadwinners who do a spousal visa are in the same type of situation of having to support themselves and their spouse.

What did she do before you married?

Certainly no expert on the local economy but that sounds an awful lot.

I meant how did she support herself?

As a dentist with a little support from her ex.  The major issue is just that people have been suffering economically in Jordan due to the influx of refugees and declining oil prices from Gulf donor countries that have typically supported Jordan.  Weird relationship between oil prices and peoples care of their teeth but, given the choice of putting food on the table and roof over the head of their families, people in Jordan have sacrificed their teeth!

Where in Jordan does she live because this is a extravagant amount of money for Jordan. I do not think you will get a expedite at all.

Thank you

if her expenses exceed her income, then she should stop practicing dentistry. Unless she wants to provide free dentistry.

The expenses could be much less if she changed her lifestyle.

I just don't see how that merits an expedite. If you get it, then everyone applying for a spouse should get an expedite as well.
