There's no reason speculating about it if you can get a straight answer from the people in charge.

To add to this, you may also want to speak to good immigration attorney as well depending on what the producers tell you.  The show's producers do have an agenda regarding putting on a good show that people will watch and companies will choose to spend their advertising dollars on.  If they feel like you and your husband are good for their show, they may tell you anything to get you on, as they could care less about your immigration journey.

Yes you can.  However some states require that the ticket doesn't leave the USA

No one would consider playing the lottery involves any work. 

 

A contest where someone actively must participate is different from buying a ticket.

Well like I said it was just a thought, its like combining 90 day fiance with the lottery!    There is no reason why a person cannot collect winnings via the lottery and if the 90 day fiance is not classed as work, but they are actively participating, in combination can a game show be classed as work along with the winnings? Its not a wage, its not voluntary work.   I hope the OP can find a way of working around it legally,  its nice for someone to have some good luck!

From what I understand, that means you are eligible as long as you are legally present in the country. Since you have the right to work, there really shouldn't be an issue, but that's up to the producers, so I think speaking with them candidly is the best way to go.

Except, the OP came in on a K1 Visa and unlike a CR1/IR1 visa, she is NOT legally authorized to work until she receives her EAD.

QUICK UPDATE:

I spoke with the producers assistant and she said that they will forward my situation to their networks legal department. Perhaps they can modify the contract to fit my situation better. Either way, it's worth a shot. She also mentioned filming will also take place in July so if my EAD is obtained by then (which hopefully it will be) they could schedule our filming around that month.

 

I haven't signed anything yet as I do not want to be responsible for breaching a contract but we'll wait and see.
