Hi,

My fiance arrived here in USA last month. We have got marry already marry. I wonder what is the nest process is? Since we are applying for his green card, Do we have to apply for work permit as well?  If yes, his work permit will be valid only for 90 days? How long does it take to get the green card?  To apply for green card what documents i should submit ? Petition approval letter, Copy of marriage certificate, i-94, 2 passport pics. What other document i should submit? 

 

I will appriciate all kind of help.

You choose eligibility category (c )( 9) for the EAD (i-765) which is "pending i- 485 application". You do not choose the fiancée eligibility category that would have a 90 day validity. That one is currently obsolete with processing times at 90-120 days, and wouldn't help you to work in waiting for the GC in any case.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
