So it is a matter of degree.  As you can accept Al Gore being a blithering idiot, I can accept that President Trump is not a refined political speaker.  It certainly makes him seem to be much more of a common person than some elitists political leader.

this is what irks me so much about trump supporters - what exactly makes you think trump has ever been a 'common person'? his lack of speaking ability? trump and his family are elitists, unless the definition of that word has changed.

Did I say he was a common person?  I only said he doesn't sound like a stuck-up elitist leader which makes him appear more common.  However, even people born into privilege can be very common, just ask Warren Buffet's children.
