Hello my dear VJ memebers hope everyone is doing good here..please have a big question but i know it might sound stupid to some but i need your help.I met my USC wife in 2011 in my country Ghana and we going married and apply for CR1 .our case got to NVC and my USC filled AOS and all of a sudden she fell sick and and our case took about 1year and my AOS cancelled and i have to refile new AOS.Now my wife the USC is sick,very sick that i cant even correspond with her not even a member of her family.now all i am asking is what will i do,is there any thing i will do,any advice or help will be well appreciated.

What is it you need help with? What do you mean you can't correspond with her? Is she not able to speak? Is she in a coma or something like that?

there is nothing you can do if she isn't mentally stable and doesn't know what she's doing. she can't sponsor you

 

if that's the case, unless she gets treatment and gets well, you might want to get a divorce and move on with your life

 

depending on what type of mental illness it is, if it's treatable with medication, such as bipolar or other mental illnesses, with medication and therapy,a person can keep their illness under control. you don't say what type of illness she has

Don't worry about your visa and AOS right now, your wife's health is more important.  Since you are married you should be next of kin- the doctors treating her should be willing to correspond with you and give you updates if she is unable/ her treatment does not allow her to correspond with those outside the clinic she is in.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
