If you are a K1 and already had your medical exam less than a year in your country before you came here, then you don't need it. You should have been given a copy of the vaccine worksheet during your medical. Take this form along with a copy of I-693A Supplemental Vaccination form to a designated USCIS Civil Surgeon. During my time, even if I took that form with me but the surgeon already had it at her office. You will receive any vaccines e.g.

TD(tetanus/diptheria) or MMR or varicella shots(which are not available during your medical in your country) and have the informations transfered into the l-693A form. The Civil Surgeon will give you a sealed envelope and you submit it along with your other AOS requirements.

Hope this helps.

If they're filing I-130 w/ the rest of the paperwork, they're most likely on a tourist or student, and didn't have a medical. K1 or K3 don' file I-130 within the country with AOS

Hi all, sorry for my delay writing back. I spent the whole day with my wife. (unfortulatelly doing paperwork :( she added me to bank accounts, i went with her to DMV to get her new drivers license, etc..).

Oh well I arranged an appointment with a doctor for April 17th (the earliest I found)

I have some questions regarding this:

1 - Can anyone confirm me how much is approximately the estimated price of the "whole package"? I do not have any records of vacines (i know, that is a $$ problem..) I found the list on USCIS and I called a doctor, her secretary told me that it is something between 450 and 500 dollars. (x rays/hiv exam/physical exam/vacines/etc) I live in Charlotte, NC, so if you know a doctor here, it will be great. Other place told me something b/w 350/400..

2 - Do I have to go to the medical examination and then come back 3 days later? on the form says "You will be required to return to the civil surgeon in 2 - 3days to have the skin test checked. If you do not have anyreaction to the skin test you will not need any more tests for tuberculosis."

3 - It seems that having the i693 ready speeds up the whole AOS process..is it true?

4 - My b2 visa expires in about a month, is it going to be a problem?

If someone can help me with these questions, it will be great.

And... Thanks again for your support.

More than a source of info, for me this place is more like a "cafe" where you talk about life with friends :) (I am from Buenos Aires and I am really used to go with my friends to a cafe to talk about life/work/blabla..sometimes i miss that :) but on the other side, there are things from Buenos Aires that I do not miss at all :)

See you!

B2 expiring is not a problem. My husband paid about 200 for his exam, including vaccinations.

You WILL need to go back to get the TB vaccination checked, it's not an option if you want your medical for AOS. They wouldn't give it to my husband before they checked it.

The I-693 doesn't speed it up. You're supposed to have it in the beginning, and if you don't, they have to ask you for it and waste a lot of time. So not having it slows it down, but having it doesn't speed anything up.
