So, we are getting everything ready to start our K1 journey... But I have so many questions! I'm sorry if they have been answered before. I'll try to be as clear as possible!

1) ADDRESS HISTORY

fiancè had been deployed in Italy for two years, he went back to the US in April 16. Should he provide his former APO address? Base address?

Is this considered "residing abroad"?

2) EMPLOYMENT HISTORY.

fiancè is currently in the Army and has been since 2012. So who is his employer? Us department of defense? And how about the employer's address? The Pentagon? I'm confused.

3)EMPLOYMENT START/END DATE

Should he provide the date his US Army contract started? Basic included or excluded? He is still serving in the Army so no end date (yet), even if his contract will be over next April and he's not sure he will reenlist?

3)PARENTS INFORMATION

Fiancè's dad died many years ago. Should he provide his late dad's information too? (except addresses information, of course)

I would also like to know about the affidavit of support. Will he need the employer's letter (I'm assuming a letter by his platoon leader)? And he doesn't know if he will reenlist yet: since technically all enlisted jobs in the Army are temporary, can this be lead to a denial?

Thank you so much and thank you for reading!

1) ADDRESS HISTORY

Is this considered "residing abroad"?   Yes it should be included. Doesn't make any big deal abroad of anything as he is the USC.

2) EMPLOYMENT HISTORY.

fiancè is currently in the Army and has been since 2012. So who is his employer? Us department of defense? And how about the employer's address? The Pentagon? I'm confused. This is the trickier once for me since I had same issues before with previous employers for jobs because I had been in the army. I always just put Former Employer: US Army, technically DOD could be used too. employer address, I just used my current companies unit address.

3)EMPLOYMENT START/END DATE

Should he provide the date his US Army contract started? Basic included or excluded? He is still serving in the Army so no end date (yet), even if his contract will be over next April and he's not sure he will reenlist?

Just list start date and use same address as current employment. Don't have to list each base or unit he has been at as previous employment. As to the end date of his contract for ETS, they will most likely be aware of it as he probably will be supplying some information/documents which will show his end date; but as for right now he is still enlisted so no need to use an end date.

3)PARENTS INFORMATION

Fiancè's dad died many years ago. Should he provide his late dad's information too? (except addresses information, of course)  If he was biological father, listed on the birth certificate, then yes...

I would also like to know about the affidavit of support. Will he need the employer's letter (I'm assuming a letter by his platoon leader)? And he doesn't know if he will reenlist yet: since technically all enlisted jobs in the Army are temporary, can this be lead to a denial?  Probably don't need to stress the letter of employment since he can provide a copy of his enlistement contract showing his contract timeline along with LES's and the I-134. That should suffice when it comes time to the interview..

Thank you so much and thank you for reading!
