Wow! I am surprised by a lot of the comments here which basically is: "we went through this pain, to so just be quite and deal with it like the rest of us." I thought this was a discussion forum so I am discussing my case. Some of the comments and information has been helpful, some hasn't. I am not blaming USCIS or anyone for anything,  We have followed the rules and I am quite proud of me and my fiance's effort to navigate this complicated system on our own. We made it this far. I think some of you forget that at one time, you, too, did not know all of the stuff you know now and that all of what you learned you learned as you went through the process. I am not an immigration lawyer, so I didn't know all of the intricacies. Imperfect knowledge, yes. Poor planning - well that's your judgement. We were just two people in love doing our best to get married and create a life together. Not skilled and seasoned adversaries to a government beuracracy

I wasn't asking anyone to give me specific answer to my specific case, but I did have some legitimate general questions. No, I did not know about the details of the Advanced Parol and the I-485, the I 131 and the I 765 but now I do. Unfortunately, there won't be enough time for that.  Yes, we will just have to wait the extra 2.5 months, disappointing as that is. I know those of you who have loved ones can empathize. It wasn't my aim to get on here and rant or rave about anything - Im just responding to all the comments in an open and honest way and I am not afraid to expose my real experience and what I am thinking or feeling.

My word of advice to some of you: please remember what it was you experienced when you went through whatever it was you went through. Probably it was or would have been nice if someone talked to you and helped you in a way that wasn't condescending.
