Actually, 2.5 months is a lot.  We had originally expected to finish this process by the end of march so that my fiance could be with me for the launch of my book and my appearance on Good Morning America. She missed that. After that she missed my speaking tour. After that she missed watching me win three national championships. She missed a lot of really once in a lifetime events that we wanted to share. All that happened in a month and a half. Meanwhile, it's been almost six months since we have been apart. Lots of lonely nights, sexual frustration, etc. Tomorrow is NOT promised to anyone, so another 2.5 months when the anticipation of getting married and starting a new life has been extreme - 2.5 months is a lot of time. Meanwhile, all of this has an affect on my training and performance, so deciding what to do is going to be a big decision.

Could she not have tried for a tourist visa to be there?

She can get a tourist visa and go to Budapest with me, but from what I understand, she can not come here now AND got to Budapest because she wont be able to re-enter the United States.

My important life events are happening one way or another, so  of course we are trying to plan to experience them together. We knew imigration isn't a fast thing and once we made the decision to get married and go forward, we did our due diligence and proceeded in a timely fashion knowing that there was a possibility we could make it all work. Springrain22 - I'm sorry you have been away from your wife for a year. That sucks.  But these next 2.5 months for me are critical to a lifelong dream of becoming a world champion. As a single dad, business owner, and elite athlete leading up to this moment, these are no ordinary 2.5 months. My fiance and I will of course survie this, but this forum gives me a chance to express what I am going through to people who understand this process and this experience.....

Yes.I know. They do not understand that this is people LIVES and all the emotion and everything that is involved.  Or if they do understand, it is of no consequence to them, hence all of their "canned" replies and responses.

I am sorry you're going through all this, but again. This is immigration, it has its own rules and times. You had to know that K1 is a single-entry visa before you apply to it. You had to read all rules and terms of what will happen to her travelings once she's here. This is why it's K1 and not IR1 or CR1. She has to adjust her status and it takes time, nothing is overnight. I personally spent more than $40K being apart from my wife and nobody dies because of that. So you had to think about all this stuff before this moment, meaning if you wanted her to be here for your event you had to apply earlier considering the fact of 4 months for her AOS once she's here. I know, it all sucks, but it is what it is and this is how it works. There's no expedite for her AOS only because you both want it. I want a lot and I know that it's not enough. If I were you, I'd move to China for these 2.5 months, then do your trip together and then go to the US. That's the only way I see.

Very good points. But that doesn't mean they couldn't communicate better. Everyone i know is overworked and underpaid and stressed. Imagine if our standards were so low that nobody ACTUALLY cared about anyone, to the point where there is no real communication.

Okay, so what do you want to do here at this point? Do you want to kick their asses off so they will work faster and process our cases in a week? I will appreciate it, dude. Do so, good luck.

LOL. I think most reasonable people, who put all this time, energy and money into this would deserve to have some questions answered instead of just sitting in limbo for weeks or months on end. You can't even TALK to any real person when you make an inqiury and when you inquire online using their form you get a total of 280 characters to lay out your case and ask your questions. That's ridiculous.

Yes, it is. We all know these facts. So what's next? Any other way to deal with this? Any other way to immigrate? Any other way that these complaints will speed up your case? Instead of thinking of this, I'd plan the next 2-3 months. Makes much more sense.

We are already planning the next 3-4 months. It doesn't change the fact that no one seems to be pleased with the process which means there is a lot of room for improvement.

If anything the process is about to get longer to be honest

Again, you're telling the things we all know. I will appreciate if you come up with the brand new process for the USCIS and NVC, will give them more budget so they can process our cases faster.
