Hello!

Today at 8:30EST is the moment I'm anticipating, my interview in Montreal. I'm so stressed since yesterday and I haven't been sleeping normally. I'm having a bit problem about the Xpresspost envelope. It says on the letter that it is recommended that the letter has the "signature required". On the Xpresspost itself, it says that Signature is optional and I have to buy it? In my understanding, I need to put a sticker on the circle at the bottom part of the envelope. Where the hell I'm going to get that at 1am in the morning? I got two labels, in one I wrote at the bottom "Signature required". Is it ok to write that? Please someone help me with this....just one reply to make me sleep. Thanks!

PS. Wish me luck! FYI, Yesterday was my bday...hehehe!

Happy Birthday...and good luck..am not sleeping 'right' these days either.. Siggy is usually optional and of course cost extra..

  • Can try to call them..1 800 260-7678 (not sure if they're open/answering now though)
  • Or you can create a label online Xpresspost
  • Since it's 'recommended' not required..can skip it (although I wouldn't)

Any of those help? =)

Thanks Karin und Otto!

I tried calling canadapost but they're closed already. I wont be able to print out a label online coz im in the hotel and i dont have a printer with me. I don't think the concierge in the hotel has one available right now. I might not do it anymore. I just hope I'll be home to receive the package myself. Thanks a lot and goodluck on your interview!

It's required to have the stamp if you want a signature requirement on the packet.

I bought mine yesterday at the same time I got the envelop.

Maybe you can ask them if you can go to a post office and back with the stamp?

That is.... if you're not already infront of the consulate's doors.
