I thought everyone has been saying President Trump obstructed justice based on a memo James Comey wrote to himself in his weak imitation of J.E. Hoover.

As we know, the investigations, plural, have not stopped.

We don't know he has obstructed justice, but using Trumps own words and tweets he has not helped his case. Lets see what comes out of the public hearings this week.

You mean the memo in which he perjured himself? He claims in this memo that he was pressured to end investigations for political reasons then on May 3rd he testified before Congress that he was never pressured to end an investigation for political reasons. If what he said in the memo is true he obstructed justice by not turning the info over to the attorney general's office immediately. If it is not true (the most likely scenario) he is guilty of perjury. Either way his word cannot be trusted.

Yep, that's the one.  Makes one wonder if the memo was written before May 3rd, or after he was fired?

The only way to know is to hear his testimony. Apparently that's something all parties agree on. It helps dispel the idea there's nothing there.

That's why I've been challenging lefties to show proof.. I know a losing battle when I see one.

That won't happen because it will destroy their narrative. Since they have yet to have ANY sort of facts or proof after six months.

Let's all forget the fact that  Waters has not done anything for her district in years.

Exactly.  As Alan Dersowitz opined, what law was broken?  Seems like the MDL wants a political witch hunt, if they want a witch, here is one that Boiler posted for us in another thread.

How do you perjure yourself in a memo?

per·ju·ry
ˈpərj(ə)rē/

noun: perjury; plural noun: perjuries
  1. the offense of willfully telling an untruth in a court after having taken an oath or affirmation.

Simple. The memo (evidence) was submitted as a statement of facts to the Congress as part of their investigation. He either lied in the memo or in his May 3rd testimony which either way constitutes perjury.

Which part of his testimony this part? "

“So if the attorney general or senior officials at the Department of Justice opposes a specific investigation, can they halt that FBI investigation?” asked Sen. Hirono of Comey during the question-and-answer period of his testimony.

“In theory, yes,” replied Comey.

Hirono pressed: “Has it happened?”

Comey said, “Not in my experience. Because it would be a big deal to tell the FBI to stop doing something that – without an appropriate purpose. I mean where oftentimes they give us opinions that we don’t see a case there and so you ought to stop investing resources in it. But I’m talking about a situation where we were told to stop something for a political reason. That would be a very big deal. It’s not happened in my experience.”
