After reading other people's posts about proving that they've been together 2 years with photographs, etc., I was wondering if maybe I missed something out. We're already waiting for my fiance's London interview and it seemed at no point did they ask for proof of our relationship. At what point does this usually come into play?

I believe at the interview! :)

Take things like emails, photos, letters (with envelopes showing dates IF you have them - but really who keeps this stuff?), flight ticket stubs, visa bills from trips to see your honey, phone bills, engagement ring receipt if applicable,..anything showing proof of ongoing relationship.

One of the things they usually look at, at interview stage is whether the relationship is bonafide. That goes for if one is a fiance or a spouse. The level of that evidence, as well as questions about the relationship, family etc, will vary depending on the consulate you are going through and on the individual Conof. The best bet is to have as much evidence of an ongoing/bonafide relationship that you can possibly muster. I call it my life in a bag

me and my fiancee have a box each, which we place items in. luckily we are both very sentimental so before we decided to get married we already had kept most of the stuff that could be considered evidence

when u are that far away from each other for long periods of time u tend to hold on to small silly things like elnvelopes and letters just because they came from your loved one

Just to clarify: You do not need to have been together for two years as was implied by the OP. There are two stages where proof is required, first at the petition stage, and then at the interview. For the petition, you need to show evidence that you have met in person within the past two years. At the interview, you must show proof of an ongoing relationship, but that relationship need not have started more than two years ago.

Jenn is correct. For the petition I only sent in 2 pictures and a copy of my itinerary (airlines) and for the interview she took about 5 emails and 5 chat records and nothing more. This was for the priod of about 6 months (since we met.) So, it all depends on what you feel comfortable with - some people take suitcases full - she only took a small folder with her. Good Luck
