Hello Everyone,

I am new here so I am trying to have some information if possible. My I-129F form was received on May 5th 2017 and i already received the NOA1, my fiancé lives in France, does anybody know how long is the process and also what are maybe the documents I should be gathering right now before I receive the NOA2. Also do we need to have an engagement party before his interview?

Thank you

No, you do not need any sort of party or anything. Don't even need rings. Just the letter of intent from both of you which was supplied in the initial I-129f petition as well as "updated" ones at the time of the interview.

With the timeline right now I believe being about 3-5 months for NOA2's, It doesn't really matter as much one what country the beneficiary is from. you could have your fiance get their police certificate, since most of these are good for 6-12 months. Their birth certificate (2-3 original copies)....

Each country is a bit different as to specifics needed or required, so hopefully you can get some more specifics from other filers from France.

Oh Ok I see but I didn't add the intend to marry letter on the initial application, can I add that once I receive the NOA2 letter or can he bring that the day of the interview?Hopefully they don't send a letter saying that the application is not completed :-(

It's possible application will process like normal or they will send an RFE asking for it.

Well, tell you the truth we didn't gather anything until after we got our NOA2. But I sent him 3 years of my tax returns, and more proof of ongoing relationships(pictures, screenshot of convos and such). and I didn't send no bank statements and also send the I-134.

Ok and did you have any engagement party before? We both are from the Ivory Coast so that mean his Casier Judiciaire suppose to come from there right?

Yes, get a casier Judiciaire from there as well as any other country he lived him from more than 6 months I believe. And I didn't have an engagement party, its not something that is necessary. What I did, I took pictures around a lot of the landmark when I went to visit.
