This goes out to all of you fellow VJ members.......

Some of you know a little about our story,so I will keep this short...

Jim's divorce is STILL stuck.........she still wasn't served with the papers and even though we have changed her address on the papers (she apparently gave him the address of a freind first, but White Pages did the trick, wish we would have thought of that earlier......) she still wasn't served. It's been 5 1/2 months now.........There was even a Dismissal hearing in Court yeterday since the judge thought the case can be closed since nothing was moving on.........

Jim also has a lot of stress and trouble at work........the Company he's working fo is messing with him (and the other drivers) bad.............

So now he thinks about giving up and told me to cancel the flight that I had booked for next week Wednesday (800$ are lost now......).He says a week ain't gonna do us no good because I WILL leave him again.............He doesn't see any light at the ned of the tunnel anymore.........There's no one else and he still loves me,but he's giving up and told me to stay away from him.........

I'm asking you all for your prayers!!!! We need as many people as possible praying for us,for Jim's safety in that Truck (he can't sleep and that's kinda dangerous when you're on the road 10 hours each day.........),for that divorce to be done soon and for our love to survive this..........

Thank you all

Nat

Did you cancel the flight?

You've got a lot of time invested in this relationship. And plans. He owes you a face-to-face explanation of why he is saying these things to you.

I'd still come - without my child - and get that explanation. If I thought I were strong enough for whatever he has to say.

That was my first thought-

if you have the flight still, go. Find out what happened. Get a hotel or stay at a friend's house, don't force anything on him- but I'd say after this long he owes you an explanation.

Good luck. Viel Glück.

Nat-

-You are BOTH in my prayers.....

But seriously, he is trying to give up on the relationship altogether?

I know he is going through alot right now too-but honestly-you have been through it all with him the whole time...waiting, and wondering what will happen next.

YOUR life has been " on hold" too.. He OWES you a face -to-face explaination. Maybe he was tired and upset when he told you not to fly out, and he will be feeling differently next week.Either way, seriously think long and hard before canceling.

There must be a way for him to proceed with the divorce. Is there not a caveat in the state law that the ex ( or he) resides in that provides for non-response of service of divorce papers? I mean-this has been going on for ages now, no?

Here in Texas I think that if the respondant does not turn up for proceedings that they just proceed by default ( or something like that).

Personally I would NOT cancel the tickets. Go and find out and be together (even if it is for a short while), at least talk face-to-face.

That's my opinion; either way you are in my thoughts and I am hoping all works out for the pair of you. (F)

IK HOU VAN JOU, MARK

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

Girl...listen to everyone here and go on your trip. Do not accept the answers he's telling you. Have you really not talked to him in 3 weeks?! I wish you both the very best and I will put you guys in my prayers.

Either way, please go see him and figure this out for yourself.

Thank you all!

No I haven't cancelled the flights yet........he will be home either Sunday or Monday and I still hope that maybe he will change his mind and want me to come over........But since he's a Truck Driver (wanted to quit his current job and start somewhere else on the 1st but got a better offer for a job later this year so he stays with Schneider National for now) he would probably be in WA for only a day or two during the week I would have been there.........It was all planned different when I booked the flights...........

I can't fly to WA unless he tells me so.Jim can't stand to be pushed and that would make things only worse. But I do have a lot of my sons and my stuff in the US with him so I still have "an excuse" to fly later on this year.

The divorce thing-

I have no idea what can be done.Default is only possible AFTER she has been served. But the Service is the problem and noone knows why she just can't be served.

Until 3 weeks ago Jim was on the road for 15-23 days at a time and when he was off it was usually on a weekend so he couldn't do much regarding the divorce and going into court.

Now he's on a Deidicated Route and gets home after 5-6 days out on the road...........maybe he will have enough time to get things straight now.At least the case was dismissed on the 10th........

And yeah I haven't really talked to him in 3 weeks.Only for like 5 minutes last week Thursday and it was pretty painful since he was hell raising mad I called him even though we had "agreed" I would leave him alone for now.

So no I will definitley not dare to call him, that only makes it worse.
