Yes I have that as well the confirmation code of the DS160 was necessary to schedule. We did this also.

We had this happen, back in the day. We were in AP for almost 8 weeks at NVC,  and I did the medical and all well before the arrival at AKL of the file. The difference was, I was in email contact with them, and they gave me the go ahead to do that.

yes like he said above b patient they haven't received packet yet. your lucky to b there for 6 months, I haven't seen my jama fiancée since last sept. u did everything u need too, how long did it take for medical to reach embassy? and how much was it? shes doing the ds160 this week, her passport wil b ready then. and where do u pay the ds160 fee? good luck !

It seems that the i129F is a pre-qualification that grants permission that we are suitable to apply the Visa. The DS160 is the actual visa application. The information is almost identical on the original petition i129F as the DS160.

 

It just confuses me as to what it is that they are even sending? I have the approval of the petition NOA2, the DS160 is the same content and the proof of relationship is recommended to be brought to the interview anyways. 

 

I wish they could let me know what is taking so long to send it.

How were you able to schedule a medical if it didn't reach to Kingston? There's only one hospital they have in town for you to complete your medical & that hospital requires you to show your interview appointment letter.

Because all you need to schedule your interview with Embadst is your NVC case number, USCIS receipt number and completion of DS160. You get a confirmation when scheduled We got our Visa yesterday. They sent his file electronically to Kingston. Because we were so pre-emptive our medical and all requirements were already finished.

We got our Visa yesterday. I was smart to do what I did, regardless of what anyone has said- it sped up our process extensively to already have had his medical, and every other thing done. The NVC sent his case file to Kingston electronically, and a few days later we already had his interview scheduled. He will be here in a week when it could have taken weeks to sort out everything that everyone usually waits for.

I got a date and was then able to have the medical. Our case got held up at NVC so I had to reschedule interview which is insanely easy Online. From the time they sent the file electronically to Kingston it was days and he was interviewed and approved. Medical was about $300 US

Thanks so much! The only question was about our wedding plan really. I spent a lot of time with him there though.

I had my CT senator call the NVC. I don't know if it helps. The casefile still needs to move to Kingston in some way.
