Irony is Hillary and Co were way closer to Russia and numerous other countries in suspicious ways yet the left are upset about imaginary Trumps connections. Just look at how the left handle reality..

Crooked Trump!

You only need to see all his business dealings over the years. This man was far more crooked many times over than Clinton.

did you invent that word?  I love it

reminds me of the muskrat trapper I knew who had a feud with the farmers who ran the irrigation ditches.  He claims the " quabaquoshed" his traps

Lol I often invent words. Sometimes I even do it intentionally

Every time I feel like we’re getting a handle on the last Russia fiasco, a new one pops,” a White House staffer told The Daily Beast on Monday evening. On Tuesday, after reports of the Comey memo began to circulate, the staffer revised that assessment: “I guess I was wrong about the timing,” the staffer said. “We can’t even wrap up one Russia fiasco before we’re on to the next one.”

A senior official in the Trump administration, who previously worked on the president’s campaign, offered a candid and brief assessment of the fallout from that string of bad press: “I don’t see how Trump isn’t completely ######.”

How much leeway does a reporter have when writing an article?

That article alone has two unnamed people used to create it, "A White House staffer" and a "senior official in the Trump administration"

Is there any burden of proof on the reporter or can they just pretend there are sources to make it sound more credible?

The amount of links to articles on news sites with unnamed sources is incredible.

Reporters tend to protect their sources, otherwise they would not be able to have any source. It's a time-honored tradition in American journalism, dating back decades. If they make up stories or sources, that will end up costing their credibility, so although tabloids do take a lot of literary liberty with their staff, serious news organizations don't. That's why in anther poster I suggested you go to several news sources before forming an opinion, instead of just buying into the family support of Trump what passes for cabinet members these days.
