Hey Guys,

I am filing AOS for my spouse and I have not applied for her SSN yet. Is SSN a mandatory requirement for the I-485/I-765/G-325 application.

Also my address when I filed her K1 visa is different from the address that we are currently staying at. Do I need to change her address using AR-11 or will the AOS application take care of it?

Thanks in advance!

SSN is not a mandatory requirement to file for EAD or AOS. Many if not most do AOS with out it, as in the case of K-3 visas.

You can apply for a SSN anytime after entry on a K-1 visa up to 2 weeks from the I-94 expiration date, after that you need either EAD or Green-Card to get a SSN

Any time an alien in the USA changes address you must file an AR-11 within 10 days of moving, and after they have green card, the sponsor also must file address changes using I-865 within 30 days.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
